Schools Collaborative Finance Support This newly merged suite of services, all administered by the Education Finance Team, features a range of collaborative finance-related products and pooled funding arrangements for LA maintained special schools and academies/free schools for whom de-delegation is not permitted. Pooled funding arrangements enable schools and academies to benefit from economies of scale and shared risk. To support these schools, we offer these pooled funding arrangements for the following eligible schools: 1. General Insurance: LA-maintained special schools only 2. Maternity Leave Reimbursement Pooled Fund: LA-maintained special schools only 3.Trade Union Facility Time Pooled Fund: LA-maintained special schools, academies and free schools – Havering only

General Insurance This service, delivered on behalf of Starting Well (formerly Education Services) and London Borough of Havering’s (LBH) Insurance & Risk team, offers a gateway for LA-maintained special schools to be included as part of LBH’s insurance policy for maintained schools. LBH insurance cover for maintained schools is a mix of self-insurance and purchase of cover from an insurance company that specialises in Local Authority and education risks in accordance with EU requirements.
