What the service offers Being in the unique position of working within a wider team that covers all aspects of pupil education, staff have instant access to wider multi-agency services and are best placed to establish non-attendance issues and potential concerns with non- engagement families. The team can signpost to partner agencies instantly to ensure early intervention is available to the whole family; schools would not be in a position to do this. By joining our service, we will ensure: l Regular support from a dedicated attendance officer including absence cover l Early intervention support and casework management l Outreach work with pupils and families including home visits l Attendance at multi-agency meetings and case conferences for pupils causing concern l Investigation of causes for absence for cases meeting the criteria for legal intervention l Support to improve whole school attendance and reduce persistent absence l Training on coding and off-roll procedures l Bespoke initiatives to improve attendance including attendance panels and late gates l Pre-Ofsted health check preparations l Provide legal guidance to ensure statutory processes are followed accordingly
