Youth Influence and Participation Service (YIPS) Experienced and committed youth and community workers who are qualified to deliver a range of workshops to support young people’s personal, social and emotional educational development, through a range of interactive learning methods. Our specialist team is a collaborative and multi-agency team looking to prevent and disrupt child exploitation, working within a contextual safeguarding framework. The Youth Influence and Participation Service works closely with our partners in the Youth Justice Service, the Virtual School, and the Adolescent Safeguarding Team. Within each part of the service there exists a wealth of knowledge and experience of the adolescent journey which we are excited to share with you.

What the service offers l Staff with up-to-date DBS clearance l A robust and working knowledge of Havering safeguarding procedures l Qualified youth workers who are experts in group work facilitation l Lively and interactive sessions l A commitment to anti-discriminatory practice l Bespoke sessions can be designed after consultation with your school depending on the needs of the students l Our staff have relevant, up-to-date knowledge on issues facing young people in today’s society l Information on how young people can access other services can be designed after consultation with your school l CPD sessions for teachers in subjects such as RSE, Contextual Safeguarding, Listening to Youth Voice and self-esteem work

The Youth Influence & Participation Service is able to offer various wellbeing programs and resources, including our Go Girls and Goodfellas self esteem and confidence building programmes, 5 Ways to Wellbeing, and relationships and sex education assemblies and workshops (RSE). We would deliver our wellbeing programmes in Schools and offer follow up at our Youth Between us we have 20+ years experience delivering informal education programmes. We are experts in relationship based practice and we are systemically trained.
