ELEMENT 2.7 - SKILL STATION: EVACUATION FROM CTV
Learning objectives:
23) The participants can perform how to safely enter the water from a height (maximum 1.5 meters) (Skills, intermediate level)
The participants shall:
Respond to the evacuation signal
Enter correctly and individually into the water (from a height of maximum 1.5 meters)
Assume a suitable position to mitigate the effects of cold-water shock
ELEMENT 2.8 - SKILL STATION: CORRECT USE OF A LIFE RAFT
Learning objective:
24) The participants can take responsibility for ensuring the correct use of a life raft in an emergency at sea (Ability, intermediate level)
25) The participants can describe the equipment in a life raft (Knowledge, basic level)
26) The participants can safely perform righting a life raft and demonstrate immediate and further actions (Skills, intermediate level)
The participants shall:
Right a capsized life raft
Enter the life raft
Identify and use the equipment in a life raft correctly
Understand how and when to deploy enhancement detection, including relevant distress signals
The Life Raft inflation cylinder must always be removed before demonstrating or practising the righting of the life raft
