The Lakes South Morang College - Issue 14

SPORT SCOREBOARD

YEAR 9 & 10 BASKETBALL Earlier in the term, we had two intermediate Year 9/10 basketball teams throwing everything they had onto the court. Team A came away with 2 wins, with Jasper dominating the rebounds and follow up shots. Team B walked away with no wins on the board but massive improvements in their team play and skills, Ryan absolutely nailed the long shots all day. Not sure who was more exhausted, the players or coaches.

We have loved swimming! A lot! Let me tell you more about swimming. When we first started swimming, we felt excited because we wanted to meet our teachers. Everyone was so excited to swim! Some of us felt a little bit shy. When we saw all our friends swimming, we all felt happy to go into the swimming pool. We did lots of different things like - freestyle, backstroke, dolphin kick and push glide. For a reward, we used sinker toys. The best part of swimming is when we first get to hop in the pool because we go on our tummies and keep blowing bubbles. We have all loved swimming this year. We hope we get to do it again next year! Monica and Elisa, Year 2

PRIMARY SWIMMING PROGRAM This term students from Years 1, 2 and 3 were offered the opportunity to participate in the weekly swimming program at King Swim.
