When we share a purpose, we share strength. Purpose unites us, guides us, and drives us forward. It’s more than a uniform we wear – it’s the commitment we live every day. Our goal is to help people succeed. We achieve that by delivering excellence with professionalism, safety, and quality in everything we do. In 2026, let’s continue to move forward as one team, focused on one goal. Together, there’s no challenge too great and no limit to what we can accomplish.

Our Driving Force is People

UNIFORM IN PURPOSE Featuring the team in Greensboro, NC

04

To most people, a uniform speaks to how someone looks. But at Averitt, it also speaks to how we live. Because here, we’re uniform in more than appearance – we’re uniform in drive, in discipline, and in the pride we take in doing things right. Our uniform is a symbol of alignment – of many individuals moving with one intention, one direction, and one shared purpose. From the dock to the driver’s seat, from logistics to leadership, we may have different roles, but we still move as one.

We serve. We lead. We deliver – together.

Every stitch reflects our shared values. Every sleeve carries the weight of responsibility. Every time we put on our Averitt red, we carry forward a tradition of excellence built over 55 years – and counting. Because we don’t just wear the uniform. We live the purpose behind it.

That’s Averitt. Uniform in Purpose.

05

REFLECTING OUR STANDARDS.

Several of our shirts and outerwear items come equipped with reflective elements to help keep you visible and safe. It’s just one more way we make sure your professionalism and performance shine – day or night.

06

ONE TEAM. ONE LOOK. ONE PURPOSE.

Our uniforms don’t just match. They unite. Visit InsideAveritt.com/Uniforms to see this year’s uniform video.

WORN WITH INTENTION.

08

A professional appearance speaks volumes – not just about the individual, but about the team behind them. Our image is a visible reflection of the values we live every day: respect, consistency, and excellence. These guidelines ensure we keep that image strong, together.

HATS Associates should wear only Averitt-approved forward- facing headwear. No hats or other clothing with another company’s logo. PANTS Approved pants and shorts should fit properly, rest on the hips, and be worn with a black belt. Shorts should not be higher than 3 inches above the knee. APPEARANCE · Please keep yourself well-groomed and free from offensive body odors. · Men’s hair should not extend below the earlobe in the front or the collar in the back. Women’s hair must be neatly trimmed or pulled back while performing safety-sensitive functions. · Hair must be a natural color. (No green, purple, etc.) · Due to possible allergies or sensitivities, associates should not wear any personal fragrance products with a noticeable scent. · Facial hair should be groomed according to handbook guidelines. · All tattoos should be either covered or inconspicuous. No offensive or disturbing tattoos are allowed. See page 21 for a sleeve option that provides a covering for tattoos.

ACCESSORIES · Belt buckles should not be oversized or feature excessive designs. · Black or gray socks only – no white or multicolored. · Please remove any visible body piercings (including tongue piercings) while working. · No excessive jewelry or accessories such as suspenders, pins, or buttons should be worn. · Women may wear earrings, but hoops and dangling earrings may not be worn while handling freight. SHOES Footwear should be a solid black work shoe or boot, clean, and in good repair. For safety, some shoes are also available with steel toes. See page 21 for all options. SHIRTS All driver shirts should be tucked in and buttoned, except for Averitt-approved no-tuck shirts and women’s shirts with side slits in the lower hem.

Your garments and hats should always remain their original Averitt red. If it’s starting to fade or fray, it’s time to replace it. See page 31 for tips on deciding whether to repair or recycle your Averitt gear. Visit InsideAveritt.com/Image for additional image and uniform guidelines.

WHERE CARE MEETS COMMITMENT. Looking the part starts with taking care of what you wear. These quick tips can help you keep your uniform looking sharp and lasting longer , no matter what your day brings. Stains Don’t Wait. Neither Should You. The longer a stain sits, the tougher it gets. Check your uniform after each shift and toss it in the wash if you spot a stain. Gentler Detergent, Longer Life. Powdered detergents can be harsh. Liquid detergents are a better choice for preserving color and fabric quality. Cold Water Gets The Job Done. Hot water isn’t always better. Cold water helps prevent fading and shrinkage while still getting things clean. Skip The Heavy Stuff. Washing shirts with heavier items like jeans or work pants can lead to wear, damage, and wrinkles. When possible, wash your uniform separately. Less Heat, More Mileage. Air-drying is easier on your gear and helps it hold its shape. If you need to use a dryer, pull items out while slightly damp to reduce shrinkage. Flip It Before You Wash It. Flipping shirts and jackets inside out before washing helps protect logos, embroidery, and colors from unnecessary stress.

29

A clean uniform goes a long way toward projecting a professional appearance. Here’s how to tackle some of the common stains that are likely to come your way. DIESEL FUEL Small spill? Air it out. Big one? Hose it off and let it dry outside for 24+ hours. Once the smell is gone, wash on hot with 1/4 cup of ammonia. (Just don’t use the dryer until the stain and smell are completely gone.) A vinegar rinse can help, too. OIL & GREASE Try cornstarch first – let it sit for 30 minutes, then wash. Or spray the spot with WD-40, let it soak in, and follow with a dish soap wash. BLOOD Cold water first, then soak in an enzyme-based remover like OxiClean. For stubborn stains, extra soaking time helps. COFFEE & SODA Presoak in cool water with liquid detergent for 30 minutes. Then run a cold cycle to keep the stain from settling in. TOUGH STAINS. SMART FIXES.

30

KEEP IT OR CALL IT?

Even the best gear wears down over time. Here’s how to know whether it’s time to fix it up or swap it out – and keep your look as sharp as your performance.

REPAIR Stained Collar: Treat collar stains with shampoo before washing, and prevent future stains by wearing your uniform only once between washes. Underarm Stains: Dissolve a few denture-cleaning tablets in warm water, or use OxiClean to tackle stubborn underarm stains. Missing Buttons: Sometimes, a quick repair is all it takes to keep your uniform looking sharp. Grab a needle and thread to replace missing buttons.

REPLACE Frayed Collar:

Replacing a collar is rarely worth the effort. Consider trading up for a fresh start instead. Worn or Frayed Cuffs: Repairing cuffs can often cost as much as a new shirt. Save yourself the hassle and go for the upgrade. Faded Color: If your Averitt red is starting to look more like pink, it’s time for an upgrade. A bold, bright uniform makes a professional impression.

31

FIT FOR THE ROAD AHEAD.

Accurate measurements are the first step in making sure your uniform looks sharp, feels comfortable, and holds up to the job. Use these simple guidelines to get the right fit from day one.

MEN Neck Measure around the base of the neck where a collared shirt would sit. Chest Wrap the tape across the fullest part of your chest – under the arms and around the back. Waist Measure over your shirt at the natural waistline, where you normally wear your pants. Keep the tape snug, but not tight. Inseam Measure from the inside of the leg to the top of the shoe. WOMEN Bust Measure under your arms around the fullest part of your bust. Waist Wrap the tape around the narrowest part of your natural waistline (just above your hip bones). Hips Measure around the widest part of your hips – usually 7 inches to 8 inches below your natural waistline. Sleeve Length Start at the center of the collar, go over the shoulder and elbow, and down to where the sleeve should end – usually at the wrist bone.

measure it against a yardstick or ruler. Tip

No measuring tape? Use a piece of string or yarn, then

32

STANDING FOR SOMETHING.

The right footwear does more than complete the look – it protects you, supports you, and helps you meet the demands of your day with confidence.

GROUNDED IN PRIDE. Scuffed, worn-out, or noncompliant footwear doesn’t just affect how you look – it can also compromise your safety and overall comfort. That’s why shoes must be solid black, clean, and well-maintained. Even if you purchase your shoes outside of Averitt, they must meet our standards for workplace professionalism and performance. (No cowboy boots, loafers, or athletic shoes.)

33

THIS IS WHAT PURPOSE LOOKS LIKE.

Our values don’t just hang on a wall – they walk the halls, drive the trucks, and move the freight. Get to know a few of the people who wear the uniform and live the purpose behind it.

34

Truckload Driver

Mac Willis

After selling his retail optical business in Virginia and spending a decade by the beach in North Carolina’s Outer Banks, Mac was ready for a new chapter. “I needed to find something else to do,” he says. “So I got my CDL and started driving for Averitt.” What attracted him in part was the home time. “Where I trained for my CDL, Averitt was one of the only companies that offered weekly home time. I didn’t want to be gone for weeks at a time pulling a flatbed. That’s just not me.” But the overall perception of the company is what sealed the deal. “We’re constantly buying new equipment – so you’re never driving around in a ratty truck pulling a crummy trailer. It’s just a very stable company. It seemed like the best thing to do.”

Eleven years later, he’s still in Truckload and still going strong. “When I get in with a company, if I like it, I stay. I don’t see any reason to bounce around. Because the grass isn’t always greener. This really does seem to be a family-type organization. Everybody’s treated me well and listened to my concerns. It’s a place where you feel heard.” He’s also proud to wear the Averitt red. “It definitely gives a more professional image. You wouldn’t believe what some people wear out there. It shows that this company has pride in its drivers.” Married for 41 years and father to two adult children, Mac plans to retire at 70 – but until then, he’s staying put. “Nobody’s ever done anything that would make me want to leave Averitt. I’ve been happy here from the beginning.”

City Driver

Jerica Frias

When she was laid off from her underwriting job with just one day’s notice, Jerica decided to take a leap. “I always had an interest in truck driving,” she says. “My father was a truck driver, and I have two aunts who drive, too. So I figured maybe this was the moment.” Though she wasn’t quite prepared for how quickly that moment would arrive. “My first company had a program where you went to driving school for two weeks, then took the DOT test. I actually passed it on the first try and was on the road that same day. That was a little scary.” She later made the move to yard switcher, but missed her time in the truck. “A position opened up at Averitt and I was like, ‘Oh yeah.’ It was like a breath of fresh air.” That was in 2021. Now a city driver in Greensboro, she appreciates both the routine and the respect. “The pay, the schedule, the paid holidays – it’s almost like a regular office job, but in a truck. You’re home every day, and off on the weekends. “I’m proud to say I work for Averitt. We put so much emphasis on customer service and working to retain business. We’re more than just delivery drivers.” And the uniform is a big part of that. “It gives us a good look when you see an Averitt associate walk in. It makes you feel proud to be a part of this company.” Outside of work, she’s a full-time mom and a part-time student studying project management. She and her fiancé enjoy riding motorcycles together on weekends. “We haven’t made it to the mountains yet, but that’s the plan. Toss the bikes on the trailer and just go.”

35

City Driver

Eric Ball

Before joining Averitt in 2020, Eric spent years in food service. “I’d been in food service since I was 15,” he says, “working as a bartender and server in Winston and Greensboro.” But when COVID shut everything down, it pushed him in a new direction. “My father-in-law worked here and told me to come on over,” he says. He started on the dock, then entered the Dock-To-Driver Training Program with a clear goal in mind. “I worked on the dock for five or six months while waiting for a slot to open,” he says. “Then I trained with my father-in-law for about a month before getting my license.” He says the structure of the program made a big difference. “It’s really a perfect setup because you don’t have to pay for a school. You get to come and work while you’re training.”

Today, Eric is a city driver – and a proud one. “We stand apart from a lot of the other people everywhere we go, just in terms of overall professionalism. It feels like a well- oiled machine as opposed to some of the other companies that seem a little hectic.” That sense of pride extends to the uniform, too. “It feels good – like we’re going somewhere with a purpose, rather than just being thrown together.” Off the clock, he spends most of his time with his wife and 4-year-old – while awaiting the birth of their second child. When he can, he heads for the trails. “Hiking, backpacking, outdoor adventure – anywhere I can get to on a weekend trip,” he says. “We’re in a great spot. Uwharrie National Forest is only 45 minutes down the road. And you can drive two or three hours and be in some of the best country you can find.”

City Driver

Shahrukh Mehmood

Shahrukh Mehmood joined Averitt in October 2020 after years of long-haul trucking that kept him away from home for weeks at a time. “I used to drive from North Carolina to California, then up to New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine,” he says. “I was out 22 or 23 days at a time. That’s when I started looking for a local job.” He’d heard good things about Averitt and had seen the trucks on the road. “It got my attention. So I thought, ‘Let me take a shot.’” Once he did, the difference was immediate. “My interview didn’t even feel like an interview. It felt like we knew each other already,” he recalls. “This is the best experience I’ve had in my whole driving career.”

Since day one, Shahrukh has been a city driver, and he’s proud to represent Averitt in uniform. “Wearing that red uniform feels amazing,” he says. “It’s about respect – for yourself, your team, and the customer. That’s the priority here. We work as a family.” Originally from Pakistan, Shahrukh moved to the U.S. in 2015 after a 15-year visa process. Now a U.S. citizen, he’s built a life here with his wife and two young sons. On weekends, he plays in a local cricket league and fixes up cars with his uncle. “I buy cars from auctions, fix them up, and resell them,” he says. “My dad was a welder back home, so I learned a lot from him.” Whether on the job or off, one value stands above the rest for him. “Respect,” he says. “That’s the key to everything – at work, in life, in relationships. And at Averitt, you get that every day.”

36

On Tour Logistics Driver

Chris Nail

Before joining Averitt, Chris spent more than 30 years in the fast-paced world of NASCAR, logging miles with nearly every major team in the industry. “I worked in various roles – in the shops, hauling race cars, hauling show cars and sponsor displays,” he says. “The biggest one was Hendrick Motorsports. I did six years with the Jimmie Johnson Lowe’s car.” Shortly after Chris recovered from a bad case of sepsis in 2019, COVID essentially shut down NASCAR, and with it his display work. “I had to find another job,” he says. “So I went to driving trucks.” He joined Averitt in 2022 and currently drives with On Tour Logistics and Truckload, and hopes to add Dedicated to his repertoire soon. “OTL is something I’ve been used to doing,” he explains. “It’s basically the music version of NASCAR.” What drew him to Averitt? “The benefits and the camaraderie between the drivers and fleet managers,” he says. “One of the companies I worked for was going downhill, and my dispatcher – a former Averitt associate – said I’d be a good fit. She told me about OTL before I ever joined.” As someone who’s worn uniforms for decades, Chris values how Averitt shows up. “Whether it’s the red or the black, I’m proud to wear the Averitt name,” he says. “Some of these other companies in the music industry, their drivers wear whatever they want. It’s not a good look. When we’re on the docks, we need to stand out. When production comes to you, they need to know who they’re looking for.” Outside of work, Chris enjoys time with his wife of nearly 37 years, their two kids, and three grandkids. “We go shopping, go to parks, out to eat – normal family stuff,” he says. “Most of the time, we go to the beach.”

City Driver

Cathy Horne

From the time she was 10 years old, there were two things Cathy Horne knew she wanted to do: drive a truck and ride a motorcycle. And sure enough, she wound up doing both. “Everything I said I’d do at that age, I ended up doing,” she says. She earned her CDL in 2007 and was hired straight out of school by Averitt. After three years over the road, she moved into a city driving role in Greensboro and hasn’t looked back. “I like being home more,” she says. “And I like to stay busy – City is a busy job.” She also appreciates the way Averitt presents itself. “I feel neat, neatly dressed. Compared to what I’ve seen out there, I think everybody should wear uniforms. It makes the company look good.” Sixteen years in, Cathy still enjoys the work – and the people. “I actually like doing what I do, and I like the people I work with.” She’s even helped recruit several others to join. “People I knew contacted me after seeing openings,” she says. “The 401(k) is good. The home time’s good. You get good hours. You can stay as busy as you want to be.” When she’s off the clock, Cathy splits her time between being a grandmother to her 5-year-old grandson and riding as a 22-year motorcycle veteran. “I ride a Harley Road Glide to the mountains, on back roads, to the beach. If any functions come up – like Daytona or Myrtle Beach – I try to go.” As for work, she’s right where she wants to be. “I don’t see myself going anywhere until I retire,” she adds.

37

City Driver

Scott McGuire

Scott joined Averitt in 1992 after a former co-worker encouraged him to apply. “We worked together at another company, then he left to go to Averitt. It didn’t take him long to tell me how much he enjoyed it.” At the time, Scott had already spent five years with a local carrier in Greensboro. But once he made the switch, he never looked back. “I put the application in and got the call a few weeks later… I’ve been here ever since.”

He sums it up simply: “City Driver for 33 years.” Why stay so long? For Scott, it’s easy: “There are a lot of good people here. You’re treated well, and everything’s fair. I love it here.” He’s also a fan of the equipment and facilities. “Top-notch equipment, tractors, trailers. The facility is clean… everything’s spot-on. There’s no downside to it.” The uniform matters to him, too. “I like the red. I’m proud of the Averitt colors and the company.” Compared with what he sees from other carriers, Averitt stands out. “A lot of the companies out here, they don’t have any pride in what they’re wearing. They let the driver wear anything – it doesn’t really matter. I’ve seen drivers hop out of the truck and have two different-colored socks on. I’m not exaggerating.” When he’s not at work, you’ll most likely find him outside. “Fishing more than anything else. And my wife and I do a little yard work. Golf occasionally. Not a whole lot, but I enjoy it.”

Dock Associate

Gary Frye

For more than 30 years, Gary Frye has worked the dock at Averitt – and he wouldn’t change a thing. “I just like working outside,” he says. “I’m an outdoors person. Even at home, I prefer being outside.” And that’s been true for quite some time. “When I was 13, I worked on a farm helping raise tobacco and cattle. Did a little bit of everything.” He also worked at a popcorn factory that produced nachos and snacks – a different pace from farm life, but one that kept him busy. In 1992, his brother-in-law – a frontline leader at Averitt – encouraged him to apply. He started on a split shift, working mornings and evenings, before going full time in 1994. He’s been a steady presence on the dock ever since.

Through the years, he’s earned a reputation as someone others can count on. “I give 110% every day,” he says. “I try to do the best I can when I come in.” What’s kept him at Averitt so long? For Gary, it’s a little bit of everything. “Good dock associates. Wonderful leadership. A company that cares about you.” And when it comes to putting on the uniform? “I feel privileged and proud. It’s a great company. One of the best… if not the best.” Away from the dock, Gary tends to his small farm with his daughter, raising goats, chickens, turkeys, a pig, a donkey, and a horse – plus a bounty of produce that he sells at the flea market every Saturday. “I take a whole truckload and come back about empty,” he says.

WE COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU.

For 55 years, our associates have been at the heart of everything we do. From day one, it’s been our team that keeps this company moving. Every delivery. Every handshake. Every extra mile. We’ve grown in size, scope, and service – but our purpose has never changed. And neither has our gratitude. Our driving force is people. And always has been. To every associate who’s helped us get here – and to those just starting the journey – thank you.

You’re the reason we’ve made it this far.

And you’re the reason we’ll keep moving forward.

Mark the milestone. In addition to choosing up to two sleeve embroidery options (shown on page 41), you can now add the 55th logo to your shirt’s right chest at no extra cost.

WHAT CONNECTS US PROTECTS US. Safety is a responsibility we all share. Every decision, every task, and every step we take is an opportunity to protect ourselves, our teammates, and the people we serve.

YOUR UNIFORM. YOUR STORY.

Your uniform says a lot about you – and now, it can say even more. Choose up to two embroidery options for your sleeves, and if you’d like, add the 55th anniversary logo to the right chest to mark this special year. It’s a great way to highlight the roles, milestones, and values that matter most. All at no cost to you.

It’s a proud moment in our journey, and you’re a part of it. If you’d like to commemorate Averitt’s 55th anniversary, you can now have the 55 Years logo added to your uniform – a simple way to show you’re helping write the next chapter.

It was one of the first associate-driven charity programs in the United States, and it grows stronger every year. If you’re a member of Averitt Cares for Kids, you can have the logo stitched on a range of garments to show your support of the good works of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. If you’re not a member and would like to join, visit InsideAveritt.com/ACFK.

If you’re a current or former member of the United States military, you can showcase your service with the U.S. Veteran logo.

Very few companies in the world that can boast as many long-term team members as Averitt. If you’re a current member of the 20-, 25-, 30-, 35-, 40-, or 45-Year Teams, you have our gratitude. And we invite you to show off your experience by having the logo embroidered on your garments.

If you’re one of the exceptional trainers helping shape the future of Averitt by teaching the next generation of drivers, you can have the Driver Trainer logo added to your garments.
