Flights return to Mendi PNG Air flights to and from Port Moresby have been restored to the Southern Highlands town of Mendi after seven long years in neighbouring towns Mt Hagen, Goroka and Lae to fly to the capital. The resumption of flights follows the provision of a K2m advancement to
benefits to the people of Mendi through use of its air transport network and modern ATR aircraft. Other partners also played a vital role
before subsidised flights could begin, including the National Airport Corporation in carrying out essential infrastructure works at the Mendi airport,
the airline from the SHP Government to subsidise passenger air travel, announced on January 18 this year. Key objectives in providing the subsidy
