January 2026 Oracle

What a great start to the season! Thank you again for such a warm welcome to this amazing resort. Your Board, Staff and I, will continue working hard to ensure ORPS remains the premier resort it ’ s known for. I wanted to take a moment to address the topic of seasonal flowers, which I know has been a hot discussion point. While we don ’ t have an exact count, if I had to estimate, there are well over 500 planter areas throughout the common areas and golf course where flowers could be planted. When I arrived last April, the flower order had already been placed, totaling a little over 2,000 flats. Mathematically, that simply isn ’ t enough to cover every planter—and from what I ’ ve been told, this has been the case for many years. I was provided with a one-page list identifying where those 2,000+ flats were to be installed. Once the landscape crew completed that list and had flats remaining, they asked where else they should plant. At that point, I directed them to focus on the most visible areas throughout the resort. As a result, there were some locations that were not planted this year as they may have been in the past. We do have documentation of where the original order was installed, the areas added by the staff this season, along with emails from owners noting areas that previously had flowers. When I meet with the owners who assist in selecting flower varieties, we will also do a drive-through to identify areas that should be included in future plantings and evaluate what that expanded scope would look like from a budget standpoint. For this season, however, there will be no additional flowers purchased to cover missed areas. I have directed PWLC to continue maintaining the empty planters and keep them weed-free as part of their regular monthly rotation. I truly appreciate everyone ’ s passion for keeping ORPS beautiful—it speaks volumes about the pride this community has in our resort. Looking ahead, I ’ m excited for an incredible season filled with activities and events, continuing to meet new owners, and finishing the season strong. I ’ m out and about daily, so please don ’ t hesitate to stop me if you

December was truly a month filled with community spirit, celebration, and connection at the resort! Our Adopt-A-Tree event was a wonderful success, with owners and residents coming together to decorate trees throughout the property and share in the joy of the season. The creativity, teamwork, and holiday cheer on display helped make the resort feel especially festive, and we sincerely thank everyone who participated and contributed their time and enthusiasm. We ’ re also thrilled to announce that our New Year ’ s Eve Party is officially SOLD OUT ! The excitement surrounding this event has been incredible, and we can ’ t wait to celebrate and ring in the New Year together. With live entertainment by The FM Experience featuring Tarah Jade , the evening promises to be full of great music, energy, and memorable moments. As we look ahead to January, there ’ s plenty to be excited about. Be sure to mark your calendars for The Dreamboats on January 19th —a highly anticipated performance that is sure to be another crowd favorite. Tickets go on sale Saturday, January 3rd , and are expected to sell quickly.
