The recent report of the Secretary, B. D. Smith, gives a brief and modest statement of a far-reaching and blessed ministry. The chief mission of the Bible House has been to give the Word of God to Spanish speaking and other Eoman Catholic people in Spain, Mexico, Cen- tral America, South America (except Brazil), the Philippines, Cuba and Porta Rieo. The publications are prepared by the Bible House and are all under- scored. This service has met with hearty com- mendation from the missionaries on the field and has been a great adjunct to their own work. A booklet entitled "Selected Portions from the Word of God," containing sixty-five selected passages of Scripture, illustrated and printed in large type, has been very popular and a quarter of a million of copies have been called for annually. The report gives the following statis-. tics of distribution to date: Spanish.
