She continues, “About five months after I started at CBS46, the founder and host of the show, Steak Shapiro, calls my manager and asked who’s your new female host? He ultimately asked if CBS46 could lend me from time to time to guest host on Atlanta Eats when he is not available to host. With the filming of the show, there are multiple factors to consider, such as when the featured restaurants are available to do the shoot during off- business hours and other important logistics. They reach out to me when Shapiro has timing conflicts, and I am thrilled to step in and eat some amazing food and engage with these incredible restaurants.” Smith is part of the TV and radio team for Impact Partnership, an organization that helps Americans re- tire successfully by empowering independent financial advisors. “My job at Impact Partnership came as a surprise,” she shares. “In 2020 during the height of [the] pandemic, the organization found my information on LinkedIn and reached out to me. They told me that they were inter- ested in my sales background, my interviewing capabili- ties, and my on-camera presence at high-level industry events. I accepted the job immediately as I loved the idea of helping people succeed financially. Our media team will spend an entire afternoon taping footage of me inter- viewing clients about their business, and our producers and editors create two-minute and 30-minute segments that the clients can utilize in their market.” She adds, “Additionally, I tape 30-60 minute radio shows with financial advisors in various U.S. cities throughout the week that air every weekend in their respective markets. We discuss current topics that impact people’s financial journeys, as well as how to plan for retirement.” Regarding what the future holds for Smith, she shares, “Honestly, I would like to continue on doing what I am currently doing as an on-air radio personality, acting and voiceover talent.
