Tarpeia, saw something that delighted her eyes, and the great enemy, Satan, got her to take the thing that tempted her. Eve, “being deceived,” opened a gate for Satan; and Satan, who “had the power of death,” let the penalty of death fall upon Eve and Adam and all mankind. Tatius did not conquer Rome, al though he held possession for some time of the part he had so craftily seized; and Satan cannot conquer and hold all men, either, -because Jesus, “ the Captain of their salvation” (Heb. 2KtO) has come to destroy “him that had ihe power of death, that is, the devil.” Those who put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, our Saviour, are re deemed by His blood and have the promise of victory over Satan and of the gift of eternal life in Christ’s ever lasting kingdom. Isn’t that a gift much better than anything that Satan could offer? Net Tee Little* Harry was only five years old, but he went every week to Miss Marie’s Bible class, held after School for the neighborhood children. There had been a very important -Decision Day service in the near-by Sunday-school the Sunday before. So that week Miss Marie said to her group of neighborhood c h i l d r e n , *Boys and girls, how many of you asked the Lord Jesus to come into your hearts last Sunday at the children’s -service?” In reply, several hands were raised and each of those children showed a little book that he had received when he had said he would love and trust the Lord Jesus. Harry was among the ones who raised their hands/ But Harry had no book. “Did you receive the Lord Jesus as your Saviour last Sunday, Harry?” Miss Marie asked. “Yes, ma’am,” he said promptly. “But where is your little book?” Miss Marie questioned. “I didn’t get any.” “But all the children who went into the inquiry room and there accepted the Lord Jesus as Saviour received one of the little books,” continued Miss Marie. “They wouldn’t let me in,” Harry replied. “They said I was too little. But I let the Lord Jesus come into my heart anyway.” Miss Marie explained to \he children that Harry was right in thinking it does not make any difference what place we may be in when we accept the Lord Jesus. Any one can receive the Saviour, anywhere, any time. What is important is that we do accept Him. Harry said he had done that, and he acted afterwards as a Christian boy M true incident which took place in a Child Evangelism Fellowship class.

should, so Miss Marie and all the children were sure that Harry was truly born again, and was a member of God’s family, even though he was only five years old.

Something Hake The month of May brings Mother’s Day. As you think of Mother’s Day I’m sure you are asking this question: “What can I give to Mother on her special day?” Mothers like things that are made especially for them—* so why not make .your mother a Mother’s Day Booklet of Bible Verses? Choose a pretty piece of construction paper for the cover of your book and white paper for the pages. You will need enough white paper to make six pages. From a piece of construction paper the same color as the piece you chose for the cover, cut the letters M-O-T-H- E-R. The headlines in the daily news paper will furnish patterns for the letters or you may use the letters from an ABC book for the patterns. Paste one letter on each of the white pages of the book. Then write on each page a Bible verse beginning with that letter as; L| “My peace I give unto you: not *** as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). Q "O the depth of the riches both * * of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments', and his ways past finding out” (Rom. 11:33). T "The eternal God is thy refuge, - and underneath are the everlast- ing arms” (Deut. 33:27). U “Her price is far above rubies * * . . . Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her” (Prov. 31:10, 28). E “Every good gift and every per- ™ feet gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variable ness, neither shadow of turning” (Jas. 1:17). . B “Rest in the Lord, and wait pa- ■* tiently for him” (Psa. 37:7). When the book is completed, place all of the white pages within the cover, punch holes and tie with a ribbon or cord.
