To select the proper tip for your rod, lay your rod across the chart ¹⁄₂ " from the tip end of the rod. Choose the size closest or slightly larger than your blank. To properly size a ferrule, be sure ends of both the tip and butt section of the rod where the ferrule will be installed are cut flush and clean. Use the chart by laying the end of the rod about 1" from the end on the dot that is slightly larger than your rod blank.
