Travel via the Middle Atlas Mountains towards Midelt. Discover local farming life at nearby Bremmen, before a special meal made using native aromatic herbs. Day 7: Merzouga Drive to the Sahara Desert; admire kasbahs, palm groves, and frontier towns en-route to Merzouga. Watch a medfouna demonstration and later ride camels at sunset to the edge of the desert. Day 8: M’Goun Valley The route to M’Goun Valley passes kasbah ruins, colonial military outposts, mountains, and palm-tree lined valleys. Dinner is a Berber tagine prepared in a traditional clay pot on an open fire. Day 9: M’Goun Valley Morning options include: visiting Kelaat M’gouna village souk or watching Moroccan bread-making. Explore the Moroccan backcountry with a local guide to encounter Berber villages and local people. Day 10: Marrakech Call at a women’s Argan oil-producing co-operative en-route to Marrakech. Take an orientation walk and tasting trail through the city with a local guide. Perhaps have dinner at Djemaa el Fna square and visit the street food bazaar. Day 11: Marrakech Learn to make Moroccan salads at Amal Women’s Cooking Centre. Perhaps explore the city’s Koutoubia Mosque or Bahia Palace. Later, return to the medina or join your group for a farewell dinner. Day 12: Marrakech Your tour comes to an end this morning when you bid farewell to your guide and group members.
