On November 15, Russell Township ap- proved an amendment to the Traffic and Parking Bylaw to allow the installation of ‘no stopping’ signs on La Croisée Street in Embrun. Two signs will be placed 1.5 meters to the east and west of the school entrance, up to the driveway of 72 La Croisée Street, and the $150 cost will be covered by the Infrastructure Department Budget. Dr. Paul Roumeliotis, Chief Medical Officer of Health at the Eastern Ontario Health Unit, said that wearing masks carries no health risks for young students, and that the resolu- tion will provide everyone at the school with more protection against COVID-19.
