OPPORTUNITIES Financial Assistance

The New Westminster Parks and Recreation Access and Inclusion program enables community members to participate in recreation programs by offering financial assistance for those in need, and consistently providing low-cost activities. New Westminster residents can receive a 50% discount on eligible registered programs, Active 10 Visit, and Active 30 Day memberships. Details: newwestcity.ca/access Try It! Parks and Recreation offers select drop-in activities with a re- duced admission fee to encourage participation in new expe- riences including swimming, skating, fitness, sports, etc. The reduced admission services are subject to change seasonally.

Here are a few things that might be new to you this season: WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO • Canada Games Pool Closure Please be advised that Canada Games Pool will remain closed until at least early 2022. All swimming and fitness services are cancelled until further notice. • Masks are Mandatory (Ages 5+) in public indoor settings when not engaged in physical activity, for all people born in 2016 or earlier. • Proof of Vaccination (2 doses) is required in recreation facilities except for: • Children 0 - 12 years • Participants (12 - 21 years) in child and youth sport and recreational programs (e.g. lessons, art classes, parent & tot programs etc.)
