July is a big month as curators are busily bringing new exhibits to the University of Iowa Stanley Museum of Art. Be some of the first to see the new collections opening in August! This tour will feature new exhibits like To My Friends at Horn: Keith Haring
What’s New at the Stanley? Stanley Museum of Art (160 W Burlington St, Iowa City)
Accessible parking near the museum: • Stanley Art Ramp (63), 160 W Burlington St • Library Lot (3), 202 W Burlington St • Recreation Center Lot (11), 500 S Madison St
and Iowa City, Beyond the Cycle , a collaborative African art exhibit, and a large mural by contemporary artist Jiha Moon. You will also enjoy classic artworks by Jackson Pollock, Grant Wood, and Elizabeth Catlett that have made their home at the Stanley. Learn alongside a knowledgeable docent or Stanley staff as they take you on a one-hour tour that is a facilitated discussion and overview of the newly designed galleries. No cost to attend. Register by Friday, August 2.

Owners Lyndon and Mattie Hershberger are opening their doors to Friends Club for an exclusive chocolate tasting and tour. Enjoy a guided tasting flight of their delicious chocolate confections, discover more about art of chocolate making, and learn their story and how they became the business they are today. Following the event, you will have the opportunity to shop and ask questions about their large selection of chocolate collections. No cost for members. No cost for members; $10 per non-member guest.
