OPERATIONAL LEADERSHIP • Build and manage effective relationships and collaborate with stakeholders in matters regarding university security (cyber, data protection). • Develop and lead the implementation of security policies, standard operating procedures, escalation procedures and reporting systems. • • Lead the response to and resolution of serious and critical incidents, implementing the university’s emergency and major incident response processes. • Continually monitor and improve the university security measures to ensure best practice. • Participate in the development and implementation of contingency planning and incident / emergency response management in collaboration with key stakeholders (including • Director of Occupational Safety & Health Services and Director EFM). Create and manage a security risk register, advise senior leaders of current and potential risks and develop effective mitigation plans. • Maintain own and university awareness of any local issues or activities that impact the physical security of the campuses, employees, students or visitors. • Understand trends, patterns and activities that may impact the security of the university, collaborating with the local police force and other local stakeholders. Provide updates on security concerns in the local area. • Provide specialist expertise and technical knowledge to project managers and estates colleagues to improve the security & CCTV infrastructure across the estate. Develop and manage the policy and standard operating procedures.
