FAMILY CIRCLE Edwin E. Cory, ’33, has returned on furlough from service under the China Inland Mission and has been living at 1119 W. .68th St., Los Angeles, Calif. Mrs. Fred J. Tooze, Jr. (Ruth E. Tibbits, ’25), 816 Mill St., Salem, Ore., has been serving as assistant and sec retary to the pastor of the First Bap tist Church of Salem. Ernest (’33) and Mrs. Crabb (Helen Snyder, ’33), who have been serving at Chitina, Alaska, have been spending sev eral months in Southern California. In June they hope to take new workers back to Alaska. Mail can be addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Crabb at 2368 Hobart St., S. W., Seattle, Wash. Eleanor M. Schuhmann, ’34, who re turned last September to her home at 1009 Yale A ve./ Claremont, Calif., from her service in Alaska, was scheduled to sail from. Seattle, Wash., on March 8 for

He has been for several years in charge of a large Presbyterian City Mission in Melbourne. He had hoped to visit Los Angeles, but due to the war he was Un able to secure a passport. Mrs. W. A. Bruce (Mary MacDonald, ’23), Valleyfield, Prince Edward island, Can., is President of the Women’s Mis sionary Society in her church, teaches in the Sunday-schoOl, and ig an officer in the Ladies’ Aid. She is President of the local district Maritime Religious Education Council for the Sunday-school' department' and presides at the local conventions. Peter J. Bringing the Word to Young and Old Grace Ogg, -’26, Box 1216, Merced, Calif., js Field Director of the Child Evangelism Fellowship for ' Northern California. She has been centering her work at Reedley, Dinuba, and Palo Alto, training teachers, and in particular finding those'who would take charge of classes to instruct local teachers. Other communities are scheduled to be visited in thé near future, and a Child Evangel ism Confèrence is planned for July 6 to 12 at Mount Hermon, Santa Cruz Mountains, Calif. In Northern Califor nia, 120 teachers have béen conducting 144 different classes under the auspices of the Fellowship. E. B. Hart, ’IT, is pastor of the Bap tist Church of Corvallis, Ore. His Sun day morning services, 11 to 12 o’clock, are broadcast over KWIL, 1240 kilo cycles. Mary-Louise Bushnell, ’40, and Jean A. Kirkpatrick, ’40, have been doing children’s work and house-to-house vis itation in the Yuma Migratory Labor Camp at Somerton, Ariz. Their mail 'address-is Box 556, Somerton, Ariz. For’ the summer months they expect to start' in the camp at Gridley, ; Calif.; and in Yuba City, working southward and spending two weeks in each camp hold ing Daily Vacation Bible Schools. George Lee Jefferson, ’26, is pastor of the White Salmon Congregational Church, White Salmon, Wash, Emanuel (B. Th. ’37) and Mrs. Ras mussen (Wilfred E. Hillyer, ’37), 630 Perth St,, Strathmore, Calif., are Serv- - ing in the First Baptist Church of Strathmore, where Mr. Rasmussen was . called to the pastorate several months ago after four months of waiting upon the Lord for guidance. W. R. Hale, Superintendent of Men at the Institute, spoke at Mount Hermon, Calif., at the pre-Easter conference of the Bible League of the University of California. V. V. Morgan, ’13, is Di rector of the Bible League. Former or present Biola students in attendance at the conference included: Betty Brown, - Mrs. Clarence B. Iris Schwartz, ’39, has been serving among the Navajo Indians, under the Goednews Mission at Lupton, Ariz. Beverly Pegg, ’33, of the Sudan In terior Mission, has returned from Kano, Nigeria, W. Dean Monroe in the Pacific Northwest Kenneth M . Monroe, the Dean of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles, is planning to spend June, July, and the first part of August in the Pacific Northwest. All graduates, former students, and friends of Biola are urged to attend as many of his meetings as possible, in order to obta'in the information and inspiration which he imparts in his messages. Further, they will obtain late information concerning the work of the Bible Institute, and by; their presence will help make known the widespread influence of Biola.’ Any who desire further information regarding the itinerary of Dr. Monroe may write to the Extension Department, Bible Institute of Los 'Angeles, 558 S.
