Training Program Overview VXT has partnered with Registered Training Organisation, National Food Institute (RTO ID 3821) to deliver training in a mentoring program that has been put together specifically for the Tasmanian hospitality and tourism industries. The program consists of three units of competencies: The program consists of three units of competencies: BSBLDR411 – Demonstrate Leadership in the Workplace BSBLDR413 – Lead effective Workplace Relationships BSBXTW401 – Lead and Facilitate a Team The training program will be contextualised to the Tasmanian hospitality and tourism industri s a d deliver d by pr ncipal traine Jess Janz from Savant Australia. Based out of Ulverstone, Tasmania, Jess has completed extensive leadership training, including a Masters in Business Administration. Developing her skill set over ten years of management in the hospitality industry, specialising in leadership and team development. Jess specialises in people-based business training, including team development, leadership, service, communication, change, conflict, an culture. This 12 week program is designed for people currently in the Tasmanian hospitality and tourism industries who either manage apprentices, trainees or new entrants to the industry. The training is also suited for aspiring supervisors or managers. The training is also suited for aspiring supervisors or managers. Program Duration: 12 weeks. Study Time: Participants will be required to attend three days of face to face workshops in their preferred region. Participants will also need to allow approximately 5 hours per week for self-paced online study, workplace-based study, assignments, and the main project’s completion. The facilitator will also be available for online discussions to support the completion of the project and assignments. Employer Input: Employer input will be required to assist participants to complete on the job assignments/projects. Participants will be required to attend three days of face to face workshops in their preferred region. • North West, Burnie: 17 – 18 May 2022 and 10 June 2022 • North, Launceston: 31 May – 01 June and 24 June 2022 • South, Hobart: 14 – 15 June and 08 July 2022 Participants will also need to allow approximately 5 hours per week for self-paced online study, workplace-based study, assignments, and the main project’s completion.
