Supply Reliability and System Capacity The risk that natural gas is unavailable to meet customer demand due to supply constraints or insufficient system capacity. • SaskEnergy primarily relies on imported natural gas and an integrated transmission and storage system to serve customers across the province. • Engagement in pipeline regulatory forums, diversified system design, storage utilization and proactive system planning support supply reliability. Indigenous Engagement Failure to appropriately engage with Indigenous Peoples and First Nations negatively impacts relationships and operational effectiveness. • Respectful and meaningful engagement with Indigenous Peoples and First Nations communities remains a priority for SaskEnergy. • The Corporation maintains dedicated engagement practices, procurement initiatives, education programs and partnership approaches to support long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. Other Risks In addition to the risks previously described, SaskEnergy’s financial results and operations are subject to other risks, including but not limited to weather variability, natural gas price volatility, market and financial risks, regulatory compliance, physical security, supply chain disruption, natural disasters, information availability, confidentiality breaches, and competitive pressures. These risks are monitored and managed through a combination of policies, internal controls, insurance programs, and regulatory mechanisms.
