The TROMP International Percussion Competition is a high-level contest for ten outstanding solo percussionists from around the world. While technical mastery and musical excellence remain at the core, the renewed format also highlights artistic identity, creativity, and vision — reflecting how musicians present themselves on today’s international stages. Through four distinctive rounds, including a free-format Black Box recital and a collaborative finale with the Het Muziek Ensemble, composers, and visual artists, TROMP celebrates both precision and imagination in the heart of Eindhoven, a city known for technology, culture, and forward-thinking.
