The Takamatsu International Piano Competition was established as an international cultural initiative to nurture young musicians aspiring to the global stage, following the opening of Sunport Hall Takamatsu. Held every four years since its establishment in 2006, the competition is highly regarded for its high musical standards and has produced numerous world-class pianists. Winners are offered concert and recital opportunities both domestically and internationally, which provide a powerful steppingstone for them to develop their careers from Takamatsu to the world.
