IN FOCUS: CONDUCTING COMPETITIONS
In 2025, not one, not two, but three new conducting competions have joined the Federation: The “Guido Cantelli” in Novara, Italy; the Svetlanov Competition in Birmingham, UK, and the KNSO Conducting Competition in Seoul, South Korea. At the same time, ICCR Rotterdam has just finished its second edition, Geneva has started a two-year conducting competition; Besancon, Yerevan and the Toscanini Competition have celebrated their comeback, and The Mahler Competition is getting ready for its 2026 contest.
