KUNSTHAUS CIRIH / THE KUNSTHAUS ZURICH Umetnički dijalog starih i novih izraza / An artistic dialogue between old and new expressions Najveći umetnički muzej u Švajcarskoj čuva dela koja su oblikovala tok svetske umetnosti – od Van Goga i Pikasa do Monea ili Munka / Switzerland’s largest art museum preserves pieces that have shaped the course of world art – from Van Gogh and Picasso, to Monet or Munch
U samom srcu Ciriha, na trgu Hajmplac, na- lazi se „Kunsthaus“ – najveći i najznačajni- ji umetnički muzej u Švajcarskoj. Njegova zbirka obuhvata više od osam vekova umet- nosti, raspoređene u prostrane galerije ko- je spajaju istorijsku zgradu sa modernim krilom otvorenim 2021. godine (delo britanskog arhitekte Dejvida Čiperfilda). Upravo ovo proširenje omogućilo je da danas „Kunsthaus“ bude hram koji podjednako slavi klasiku, modernu i savre- menu umetnost. Kroz stalnu postavku posetioci mogu da prate razvoj evropskog slikarstva i skulpture: od srednjovekovnih maj- stora, preko impresionista i klasične moderne, pa sve do digitalnih radova i video-instalacija 21. veka. Tu su re- mek-dela Kloda Monea, Van Goga, Pabla Pikasa, Pjera Bo- nara, Oskara Kokoške i Marka Šagala – slike koje su obele- žile istoriju umetnosti. Muzej se posebno ponosi svojom kolekcijom Alber- ta Đakometija, najvrednijom na svetu, kao i najvećim fon- dom dela Edvarda Munka van Norveške. Njihove skul- pture i slike ovde stoje rame uz rame sa delima Endija Vorhola, Roja Lihtenštajna, Saj Tvomblija, Džozefa Bojsa i drugih velikana 20. veka. „Kunsthaus“ je i jedan od ključnih čuvara nasleđa da- daizma, pokreta rođenog upravo u Cirihu 1916. godine. Muzej poseduje najobimniju dada kolekciju na svetu, sa radovima Hansa Arpa, Hane Heh, Sofi Tojber, Mana Reja, Tristana Care i drugih umetnika koji su redefinisali pojam umetnosti, uvodeći slučajnost, šok i apsurd u sam njen te- melj. Bilo da u Cirihu provodite dan ili dolazite ciljano zbog umetnosti, „Kunsthaus“ je onaj tip muzeja iz kojeg ćete izaći zamišljeni, inspirisani ili potpuno zatečeni – ali nika- da ravnodušni.
A t the very heart of Zurich, on Heimplatz square, stands the Kunsthaus – Switzerland’s largest and most important art museum. Its collection encom- passes more than eight centuries of art, presented through spacious galleries that combine the histor- ical part of the building with a modern wing that opened in 2021 and was designed by British architect David Chipperfield. It was precisely this extension that made it possible for the Kunsthaus to become a temple that celebrates classical, modern and contempo- rary art equally. The permanent exhibition leads visitors through the develop- ment of European fine art and sculpture: from medieval masters, through impressionists and classical modern painters, all the way to the digital works and video installations of the 21 st century. There are masterpieces that marked the history of art by Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Pierre Bonnard, Oskar Kokoschka and Marc Chagall. This museum is extremely proud of its Alberto Giacometti col- lection, which is the world’s most valuable, but also of having the largest collection of Edvard Munch works outside of Norway. Here Giacometti’s sculptures and Munch’s paintings are displayed alongside the works of Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Cy Twom- bly, Joseph Beuys and other great artists of the 20 th century. The Kunsthaus Zurich is also a key custodian of the legacy of Dadaism, a movement that was actually born in Zurich, back in 1916. It holds the world’s most extensive Dada collection, with works by Hans Arp, Hannah Höch, Sophie Taeuber, Man Ray, Tristan Tzara and other artists who redefined the very notion of art by introducing randomness, shock and absurdity to its very foundations. Whether you’re just spending a day in Zurich or are coming specif- ically to enjoy the art, the Kunsthaus is the kind of museum that you’ll depart feeling contemplative, inspired, or completely aston- ished – but never indifferent.
