As a female captain, I hope that this result and my work will inspire new generations to pursue their dreams, because our achievements show that a career in aviation can be built in Serbia,” said Air Serbia captain Vesna Aleksić. “It is a pleasure to be part of a team that records a historic result. This day is important for SMATSA, Air Serbia, and the wider aviation community, and confirms that there is a capacity to respond to the very complex demands and needs of the users of our services,” said Slobodan Kurćubić, Head of the Terminal and Airport Flight Control Department. Air Serbia experienced growth in almost all key business categories in 2025. By 8 th December, it had transported over 4.3 million passengers, an increase of 3.2% compared to the same period of 2024, while the total number of flights increased by 4%. More than 2.1 million passengers travelled to and from Belgrade, with the number of departures from the capital increasing by 4.1%. August was the busiest month in terms of the number of flights and passengers, while 1 st August became a record- setting day with 206 round-trip flights and more than 21,800 passengers in a single day. Concurrent with the growth of air traffic in the region, SMATSA has been achieving results that have ranked it among the leading air traffic control service providers in the region and among the top ten in Europe for years. The joint results of Air Serbia and SMATSA confirm the growing role of Serbia as an aviation hub and contribute to the further development of regional and European aviation.

Prva međunarodna konferencija „Inkluzivna Srbija – izazovi i perspektive“, realizovana u saradnji sa Ministarstvom za rad, zapošljavanje, boračka i socijalna pitanja, pružila je đacima priliku da oslikaju svoj svet mašte, raznolikosti i velikih ideja. Er Srbija je pobedniku konkursa, Nikoli Đorđeviću, učeniku 3. razreda OŠ „Jovan Jovanović Zmaj“ iz Beograda, dodelila nagradu „Na krilima snova“ – avionske karte za destinaciju po izboru. – Podržavajući najmlađe, ulažemo u izgradnju otvorenijeg društva i verujemo da na taj način istinski gradimo podržavajuće okruženje za svako dete. Er Srbija će, kao društveno odgovorna kompanija, nastaviti da podržava inicijative koje podstiču kreativnost i inkluziju među najmlađim generacijama, verujući da na ovakav način oblikuje zajednicu u kojoj se svako dete oseća ispunjeno i vrednovano – izjavila je Bojana Knežević, viša menadžerka za marketing i korporativne poslove.
Air Serbia, as the country’s national airline, participates actively in initiatives aimed at strengthening the community and promoting sustainable development. It recently encouraged the creation of a society that values every individual by supporting an art contest organised by the Inclusive Serbia Centre and involving 1 st to 4 th year pupils nationwide. The first international conference on inclusivity, entitled “Inclusive Serbia – Challenges and Perspectives” and organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Policy, gave participating schoolchildren the opportunity to paint their own worlds of imagination, diversity and big ideas. Air Serbia awarded competition winner Nikola Đorđević, a pupil of Belgrade’s Jovan Jovanović Zmaj Primary School, the prize “On the Wings of Dreams” and tickets to a destination of his choice, . “By supporting the children, we are investing in the creation of a more open society, and we believe that we are thus truly building a supportive environment for every child. As a socially responsible company, Air Serbia will continue to support initiatives that foster creativity and inclusion among the youngest generations, believing that this is a way to shape a community in which every child feels fulfilled and valued,” said Air Serbia Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs Bojana Knežević.
