Musahamaat Fikriyya – Constructs of Creativity
القائمـــــة علـــــى تنمية الإمكانـــــات الإبداعيّة بصبـــــر وتأمّـــــلٍ، هي مـــــا آمنّا بـــــه دائمًا، وما سنواصل الدّفاع عنه في المرحلة المقبلة. كيـــــف تنظـــــرون إلـــــى السّـــــنوات العشـــــر المقبلـــــة؟ مـــــا الفجـــــوات التـــــي تأملـــــون فـــــي معالجتهـــــا 421 أن يســـــاهم مَجمَـــــع داخـــــل المنظومـــــة الثقافيّة، ومـــــا الدّور الذي ســـــيؤدّيه المَجمَع على المســـــتويين الإقليمي والدوليّ؟ المســـــتقبل مفتوح على إمكانات واســـــعة. وسنواصل تركيزنا على دعم الجيل المقبل مـــــن الفنّانيـــــن ليواصلـــــوا التّفكيـــــر بطـــــرق خلاّقـــــةٍ، بالتّوازي مـــــع رعاية الجيل الحالي في مســـــاراته وممارساته. نطمح إلى توفير مســـــاحة للتّجريب والبحـــــث والحوار لكي
الدّعـــــوات المفتوحـــــة، والإقامـــــات الفنّية، ومبادرات بناء القدرات. كيف يُقدّم معرض “في السّنا والموج وما بقى” قراءة لعقد من الممارســـــات الفنّية، وفي الوقت نفسه يختبر أفكارًا جديدة؟ وكيـــــف يمكـــــن لهـــــذا المعرض أن يرســـــم ؟ 421 ملامح مستقبل مَجمَع يجمع المعرض ثلاث رؤًى تقييميّة مختلفة، ليُلقي الضّوء على تلـــــك الحركات الدّقيقة والتموّجات الصّغيرة التي أسهمت، بهدوءٍ، في تشكيل عقد كامل من الممارسة الفنّية وصناعـــــة المعـــــارض. ويُؤكّـــــد هـــــذا النّهج التزامنا برعاية الأفكار التجريبيّة الصّغيرة التـــــي تمتلـــــك القـــــدرة علـــــى التّأثيـــــر في المنظومة الإبداعيّة الأوسع. فهذه الذهنيّة
الإماراتي والقصص الشّخصيّة الظهور في المجال العام لأوّل مرّة. كما شـــــهد المؤتمر الصّحافي لمؤسّسة سلامة بنت حمدان آل نهيان الكشـــــف عن الخطط الأولى لإطلاق منطقة ثقافيّة في ميناء زايد، في إشـــــارة إلى رؤية مؤسّسيّة بعيدة المدى. - أوّل معرض بتكليف من المؤسّسة: 2018 “الحضريّة والعزلة” الانتقـــــال من مجـــــرّد موقع للعـــــرض إلى مؤسّسة تكليف فنّي بالتّعـــــاون مع “جلـــــف فوتو بلس”، شـــــكّل معرض “الحضريّة والعزلة” أوّل مشـــــروع تقييمي يُنتَج بالكامل داخل المؤسّسة، إلى جانب إصدار كتيّب صور خاص بالمعرض. وقد تناول الفنّانون المشاركون موضوعات
يمتلـــــك الفنّانون الموارد التـــــي تُمكّنهم من توسيع آفاقهم محليًّا وإقليميًّا وعالميًّا. ومن خلال ذلك، نأمل في سد بعض الفجوات في المشهد الثقافيّ، والإسهام في بناء منظومة فنّية أكثر مرونة وتطلّعًا إلى المستقبل. 421 مَحطّـــــات مفصليّة في تطـــــوّر مَجمَع للفنــــــــــون 421 - افتتاح مستودع 2015 أبوابه بمهرجان حوّل 421 افتتح مستودع منطقة الميناء إلـــــى منصّة نابضة بالإبداع، عبر عروض الشّـــــارع، والتّركيبـــــات الفنّية التفاعليّة، والـــــورش المفتوحة، والعروض الضّوئيّـــــة اللّيليّـــــة. وقـــــدّم معرضـــــه الأوّل “لِئلا ننســـــى”، الذي أتاح للأرشيف العائلي
By bringing together three curatorial perspectives, the exhibition emphasises the subtle gestures and minor rip‑ ples that have quietly shaped a decade of artistic practice and exhibition‑making. It reinforces our commitment to nurturing small, experimental ideas that have the po‑ tential to shape the wider ecosystem. That mindset ‑ the thoughtful and patient cultivation of creative possibili‑ ties ‑ is what we’ve always believed in and will continue to advocate for into the future. Looking ahead to the next 10 years, what gaps in the cultural ecosystem do you hope 421 will address, and what role do you envision the campus playing region- ally and globally? The future is full of possibilities. Our focus will remain on supporting the next generation of artists to think creatively while continuing to nurture the current gen‑ eration in their practice and process. We aim to provide
mission and broader national cultural strategies, and retains 421’s independent, artist-first approach? Our work is made possible through a grant from the Sala‑ ma bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation, which gives us the stability to plan long‑term while keeping resources focused on artists. For us, the focus has always been on emerging artists and building a space where they can take risks, test ideas, and grow, and that naturally sits well within the wider cultural vision of the UAE, which puts a lot of emphasis on supporting talent and knowledge‑shar‑ ing. What defines our independence is that decisions about exhibitions, commissions, and programmes are made by curators and practitioners through open calls, residencies, and capability‑building initiatives. Rays, Ripples, Residue reflects on a decade of artistic practices while testing new ideas. How do you see this exhibition setting the tone for 421’s future?
