Musahamaat Fikriyya – Constructs of Creativity
curator Neel Shukla, who has a great eye for detail and a deep understanding of the UAE art scene. We hope it communicates that art has the power to unite peo- ple, foster empathy, and inspire action, shaping a future where inclusivity isn’t just an idea, but a shared reality expressed through every brushstroke, photograph, and sculpture. What role do you think art and artists play in shaping empa- thy and awareness around social causes today? In a world saturated with information, art cuts through the noise; it invites reflection rather than reaction. Artists challenge us to see from new perspectives, to confront uncomfortable truths, and to imagine better futures. In doing so, they become catalysts for conversation, compassion, and change, reminding us that empathy is the first step toward action. Running an initiative of this scale requires constant energy and vision. What keeps you motivated to keep going year af-
work of art, brings the message of inclusion and empow- erment to life. It’s incredibly meaningful to have artists of his calibre and compassion support our cause, as it amplifies our reach, inspires audiences, and strength- ens the impact of every initiative we undertake. Who are the other new artists supporting this year – and any returning names? What do you think it is that makes them want to donate their work and to be involved with the Gala? This year we have many new artists such as eL Seed, Jian Yoo, Alia Lootah, Akbar Saheb, Stefania Nazzal, and Anna Chekh. Some of the returning artists are Lorenzo Quinn, Paresh Maity, Chris Fallows, and Lorenzo Agius. For many artists, the motivation goes beyond visibility or recognition, it’s about purpose. They see their art as a medium to inspire change, give back, and be part of something larger than themselves. The gala offers them an opportunity to use their creativity to directly support meaningful causes, connect with like-minded individu- als, and make a tangible social impact. By contributing their work, they’re not only showcasing their talent but also helping drive conversations around empathy, community, and collective responsibility, val- ues that lie at the heart of why most artists create in the first place. The gala brings together such a diverse group of art- ists, from emerging talents to international names. How do you approach selecting artists for the auc- tion, and what do you hope their collective presence communicates about art’s role in shaping a more in- clusive future? We look for talent with purpose. Artists that are im- pact driven and are using their skill to also bring about positive change. Art is personal and subjective, and we curate a diverse range of artworks, including photogra- phy, sculptures and paintings, to suit all tastes and budgets. الوحيدة، أدركنا أن علينـــــــا التّكاتف كقوّة واحدة لتحقيقها. ونحـــــــن فخورون غاية الفخر بأنّنا تبرّعنا بحافلـــــــة صغيرة لدعم مســـــــيرتهم الرّائعة نحو التّمكين. ولكن ما أضفى على هذه المبادرة طابعًا أكثر فرادة هو العرض الســـــــخي من الفنّان العالمي إل ســـــــيد، الذي قدّم وقتـــــــه الثّمين وموهبته الفذّة للرّســـــــم على هذه الحافلة الصّغيرة بالاشـــــــتراك مع طلاّب المركز، ليحوّلها إلى قطعة فنّية متحرّكة نابضة بالحياة. ماذا يعني لك أن يكـــــــون لفنّانين بمكانة Art Be a إل ســـــــيد دور في دعم رسالة “ ” هذا العام؟ Part سيد تُضفي إن مشـــــــاركة فنّان بحجم إل بُعدًا قويًّا ومُلهِمًا بحق على حفلنا السنوي لهذا العام. فمساهمته، ولا سيّما انخراطه المباشر مع الطّلاب ومساعدته في تحويل الحافلة المُتبرّع بها إلى عمل فنّي متنقلٍ، تُجسّد رسالة الشموليّة والتّمكين وتحوّلها إلى واقع ملموسٍ. ومن الأهميّة بمكان أن نحظى بدعم فنّانين من هذا العيار، وبهذا القدر من التّعاطف مع قضيّتنا؛ فذلك يوسّع نطاق وصولنا، ويُلهم جمهورنا، ويُعزّز الأثر المضاعف النّاتج عن كل مبادرة نطلقها. مـــــــن هم الفنّانون الجـــــــدد الذين يدعمون المبـــــــادرة هذا العام؟ وهل هناك أســـــــماء عادت للمشاركة؟ وما الذي يدفعهم للتبرّع بأعمالهم والمشاركة في هذا الحفل؟ تشـــــاركنا هـــــذا العـــــام كوكبـــــة متميّـــــزة من الفنّانيـــــن الجـــــدد، مثـــــل إل ســـــيد، وجيان يو، وعليـــــاء لوتـــــاه، وأكبــــــــــــر صاحــــــــــــــب، وستيفانيا نازال، وآنا تشيخ. ومن الأسماء العائـــــدة لدعـــــم رســـــالتنا نذكـــــر: لورينـــــزو كوين، وباريش مايتـــــــــي، وكريـــــس فالوز، ولورينزو أغيوس. وبالنّســــــبة لكثير من الفنّانيــــــن، فإن الدّافع يتجــــــاوز حــــــدود الظّهور أو السّــــــعي وراء الشّــــــهرة، إنّه يرتبط بالغاية السّامية. فهم يــــــرَون في الفن وســــــيلة لإلهــــــام التّغيير،

المعنيّـــــــة، ممّا يضمن مقاربة أكثر اتّســـــــاقًا وفاعليّة للتّعليم الشّامل. وإلـــــــى جانـــــــب ذلك، قمنـــــــا أيضًـــــــا بدعم ) في غوا AAF “مؤسّســـــــة ألدونا للفنون” ( 600 بالهنـــــــد، حيث استكشـــــــف أكثـــــــر من طالب من أربع مدارس أقل حظًا مجالات المســـــــرح، ورياضة الـ“كابويرا”، والرّسم، وغيرهـــــــا الكثير، ليكتشـــــــفوا في طريقهم الثّقـــــــة بالنّفس، والتّرابـــــــط، والبهجة. وقد أصبحت الفصول الدراسيّة تضج بالطّاقة والحيويّة، وبالنّســـــــبة للكثيرين من هؤلاء الأطفال، غدت مبادرتنا التي أطلقنا عليها )، محطّة رئيسيّة SpArK اسم “ســـــــبارك ٍ” (
ينتظرونها بشغف كل أســـــــبوع، ومساحة آمنة يستطيعون فيها التّعبير عن ذواتهم الحقيقيّة بلا خوف أو قيودٍ. هــــــــل يمكنــــك أن تحدّثينـــــــــــا أيضًــــا عــــن تعاونكممع“مركز المستقبل لتأهيل ذوي ) فــــــــي SNF الاحتياجـــــــــات الخاصّـــــــة” ( دبي، ومشــــاركة الفنّان إل ســــيد في هذا المشروع المميّز؟ إن الحافلـــــــة هي أكثر من مجرّد وســـــــيلة نقلٍ؛ هي في حقيقة الأمـــــــر بوّابة للحريّة، والاستكشاف ٍ، وفتح آفاق الفرص لطلاّب مركز المستقبل لتأهيل ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصّـــــــة. وعندما شـــــــاركنا المركز أمنيته
