Image courtesy of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre والمبدعين، والناشرين، والشّباب، على الإبداع والابتكار. والجائـــــــزة تكرّم الأعمـــــــال المتميّزة في مجالات: الفنون والدراســـــــات النقديّة، والثقافـــــــة العربيّة فـــــــي اللّغات الأخرى، والنّشـــــــر والتّقنيات الثقافيّة، والتنمية وبناء الدولة، وأدب الطفل والناشـــــــئة، والترجمـــــــة، إضافة إلى فـــــــرع المؤلّف الشـــــــابّ، وفرع تحقيـــــــق المخطوطات، وهـــــــو أحـــــــدث فـــــــروع الجائـــــــزة، جاء ليســـــــتكمل جهودهـــــــا. إلى جـــــــوار فرع الشـــــــخصيّة الثقافيّة الذي تُمنح جائزته لشـــــــخصيّة اعتباريّة أو طبيعيّة بارزة، على المســـــــتويين العربي أو الدوليّ، لما تتميّـــــــز به من إســـــــهام واضح في إثراء الثقافـــــــة العربيّة إبداعًا أو فكرًا، على أن تتجسَّـــــــد في أعمالها أو نشـــــــاطاتها قيم الأصالة، والتّسامح، والتعايش السلميّ.” وأضاف: “نجحت جائزة الشـــــــيخ زايد للكتـــــــاب خـــــــلال مســـــــيرتها، باعتبارها إحدى أهـــــــم الجوائز الأدبيّـــــــة العالميّة قيمـــــــة وقدرًا، فـــــــي التربّع على ســـــــدّة الجوائـــــــز الثقافيّة فـــــــي العالـــــــم العربيّ، بفضل مصداقيتها وشـــــــفافيتها والتزامها بأســـــــس علميّة ومنهجيّـــــــة وموضوعيّة، وبفضل سعيها الدّائم لمد جسور التّواصل الحضاريّ، تجســـــــيدًا لرؤية قادة الإمارات في تشـــــــجيع المبدعين، وتحفيز الشّباب، وتكريم الـــــــروّاد، ودعـــــــم الثقافة، وتعزيز الحوار بين الحضارات والثقافات.” وتابع ســـــــعادته: “تحتفي الجائزة، بعامها العشـــــــرين في الدّورة المقبلة، وتســـــــتعد لإطلاق مبـــــــادرات وفعاليّات عالميّة، تليق بنجاحهـــــــا، وتميّزهـــــــا بالريـــــــادة والإنجاز، لقيامها بـــــــدور فريد اضطلعت به في ربط الثقافة العربيّة بالعالم، وتصدّرها المكانة المرموقـــــــة التـــــــي بلغتها بفضـــــــل رؤيتها، ومنهجها، وأسسها العلميّة التي تقوم عليها، وتمتّع لجـــــــان القراءة والفـــــــرز والتّحكيم فيها؛ مـــــــن قامـــــــات ثقافيّـــــــة وأكاديميّة، بالكفاءة والنزاهة، محقّقة إنجازات كبيرة تعكس جهود المركز في دعم اللّغة العربيّة، والنهوض بـــــــالأدب والتراث العربي عالميًّا، وهي إنجازات ترجمهـــــــا الاهتمام العالمي ing opportunities for publication and translation, the Centre re- affirms its commitment to nurturing creativity and honouring distinguished voices.” Heexplained:“WhentheSheikhZayedBookAwardwasestablished in 2006, it carried a name of deep significance in the Arab World, honouring the legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his pioneering role in building both the nation and its people. The award was inspired by his enduring dedication to encouraging, supporting, and recognising creative talent. This ethos became its foundation: to motivate and empower cultural practitioners, thinkers, creators, publishers, and young people to pursue inno- vation and excellence.” The award honours outstanding works across a broad range of fields, including Art and Critical Studies, Arab Culture in Oth- er Languages, Publishing and Cultural Technologies, Develop- ment and State Building, Children’s Literature, and Translation, in addition to the Young Author category and the Manuscript Editing category - the newest branch of the award, established to further extend and complete its mission. Alongside these cat- egories is the “ Cultural Personality of the Year ” award, present- ed to an individual or institution, Arab or international, whose contribution has had a clear and meaningful impact on enrich- ing Arab culture through creative or intellectual achievement. Recipients are recognised for embodying the values of authen- ticity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence in both their work and public endeavours. 37 Al Majlis - Forums of Exchange أكّد ســـــــعادة الدكتور علي بن تميم، رئيس مركز أبوظبـــــــي للّغة العربيّـــــــة، أن الكتابة عن الجوائز، تشـــــــبهها، تصبـــــــغ المفردات بلـــــــون المســـــــرّة والاحتفـــــــاء والتكريـــــــم. وقال: “نفـــــــرح بالكتابة عنهـــــــا، لأنّها تمثّل تقديرًا ملموسًـــــــا للإبداع والابتكار والجهد المبـــــــذول، وتُحيلنا إلى ذكريـــــــات قريبة، وتجعلنا سعداء باكتشاف درّة تُضاف إلى عقد اللآلئ الثمين. فيتقاســـــــم الكاتب عن الجائزة، والفائز بها، غنيمة الفرح والرّضا.” وتابع ســـــــعادته: “تنطلق الكتابة، لتحتفي بأهميّـــــــة الجوائز التي يُنظّمها ويُشـــــــرف عليهـــــــا مركز أبوظبي للّغـــــــة العربيّة، وهي جائزة “الشيخ زايد للكتاب”، وجائزة “كنز الجيـــــــل” وجائزة “ســـــــرد الذّهب”، إضافة إلى إســـــــهامه في رعاية الجائزة العالميّة للروايـــــــة العربيّة - البوكر، في دعم الكتّاب من خلال تحفيزهم ماديًّا ومعنويًّا، تقديرًا لإبداعهم وإثرائهم المشهد الثقافي بأعمال متميّزة، وتســـــــليط الضـــــــوء على أعمالهم لزيادة انتشارها، وتعزيز مسيرتهم المهنيّة، من خـــــــلال تحقيق الاعتـــــــراف للمبدعين من أدبـــــــاء ومفكّرين وباحثين بما قدّموه، ووضعهم في مكانة تسمح للقرّاء والنقّاد بالتعرّف إلى فكرهم وإبداعهم، ممّا يفتح أبوابًا جديدة أمامهم.” وأضـــــــاف ســـــــعادته: “تعكـــــــس الجوائـــــــز عينهـــــــا، التوجّهات الثقافيّة للمركز، ودوره الكبيـــــــر في تقديـــــــم دليل جـــــــودة للقرّاء، إبّـــــــان تقييم العمل أدبيًّـــــــا كان أو فكريًّا أو بحثيًّا، وفق معاييـــــــر دقيقة تُظهِر جودته وإبداعه، وتســـــــاهم فـــــــي رفـــــــد المكتبات بأعمـــــــال جديـــــــدة ومبتكرة، فـــــــي معظم المجـــــــالات المعرفيّة، من خـــــــلال ترويج الأعمال الفائـــــــزة، وتقديم فرص النّشـــــــر والترجمة، تأكيدًا مـــــــن المركز على دعمه للإبداع وتكريمه للموهوبين.” وأوضح ســـــــعادته: “حين تأسّست جائزة ، حملت 2006 الشيخ زايد للكتاب، في العام أغلى الأسماء في الوجدان العربيّ، تقديرًا لمكانة المغفور له الشـــــــيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان، طيّب اللّـه ثراه، ودوره الرائد في بناء الدولة والإنســـــــان، واستلهمت نهجه العظيـــــــم في تشـــــــجيع المبدعين ودعمهم وتكريمهم، ليكون منطلقًا لها في تشـــــــجيع وتحفيـــــــز صنّـــــــاع الثقافـــــــة، والمفكّرين، Sheikh Zayed Book Award Pavilion at the 2015 Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, ADNEC. His Excellency Dr Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, noted that writing about awards mirrors the spirit of the awards themselves, in- fusing language with tons of joy, celebration, and rec- ognition. “We take pleasure in writing about them,” he said, “because they offer a tangible acknowledgment of creativity, innovation, and dedicated effort. They bring recent memories to mind and fill us with happiness as we discover a new gem added to a precious string of pearls. In this way, both the writer reflecting on the award and the laureate receiving it share in the joy and sense of fulfilment.” He explained that writing becomes a way to honour the significance of the awards organised and overseen by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre - the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, the Kanz Al Jeel Award, and the Sard Al Tha- hab Award – in addition to the Centre’s role in supporting the International Prize for Arabic Fiction, known as the Arabic Booker. He continued: “These awards support writers by offering both financial and moral encouragement, recognising their creativity and their contributions to the cultur- al landscape through exceptional work. They celebrate achievement, increase the visibility of published works, and strengthen professional trajectories by securing rec- ognition for authors, thinkers, and researchers. In doing so, they place creators in a space where readers and crit- ics can more readily engage with their ideas and artistry, opening new avenues for their work.” He added:“These awards also reflect the Centre’s cultural vision and its essential role in offering readers a bench- mark of quality when evaluating literary, intellectual, or scholarly works. Guided by rigorous criteria, they bring merit and creativity into focus, while helping to enrich libraries with original and innovative titles across a wide range of fields.
