لتكون 2007 تأسّست جوائز سوني العالميّة للتّصوير الفوتوغرافي عام منبرًا يحتفي بأقوى الحكايات التي يرويها التّصوير المعاصر. وفي كل عام، تُكـــــرّم الجائزة الصّور والروايات التي تُســـــهم في تشـــــكيل ملامح ثقافتنا البصريّة، وتمنح المصوّرين فرصة استثنائيّة للظّهور والاعتراف ، 2025 ألف صورة في مســـــابقة عام 419 الدولـــــيّ. ومع تلقّي أكثر مـــــن ما تزال الجائزة واحدة من أرقى المنصّـــــات العالميّة في عالم التّصوير Creo الفوتوغرافي المعاصـــــر. وتُنظَّم الجائزة من قبل شـــــركة “كريو” تحت مظلّة منظّمة التّصوير العالمي وبالشّـــــراكة مع ســـــوني، وتشـــــمل أربع مســـــابقات: فئـــــة المحترفيـــــن، والفئـــــة المفتوحة، وفئـــــة الطلاّب، وفئة اليافعين. ولا تقتصر هذه المســـــابقات على كونها مســـــاحة لعرض الأعمال، بل تُوفّر منصّة لرواية القصص، وســـــماع الأصـــــوات المبدعة، وصياغة مسارات مهنيّة جديدة للمصوّرين.
Established in 2007, the Sony World Photography Awards champion contemporary photography’s most compelling stories. Each year the Awards celebrate the defining images and narratives shaping our visual culture and provide photogra- phers with unparalleled international exposure and recognition. With over 419,000 images sub- mitted to the 2025 competition, it remains one of the world’s most prestigious platforms for contemporary photography. Organised by Creo under the World Photography Organisation and in partnership with Sony, the Awards span four competitions: Professional, Open, Student, and Youth. be seen, but a platform for stories to be shared, voices to be heard, and careers to be shaped. One of the defining strengths of the Awards lies in their commit- ment to narrative and craft. Judges, including curators, editors, artists and directors from institutions across Japan, Ghana, Mex- ico, France, the UK, and the US, evaluate images anonymously, prioritising the power of the image over the name behind it. Mon- ica Allende is the Jury Chair and curator of the annual exhibition at Somerset House in London. This is her third year in the role, through which she guides a programme that prioritises impactful storytelling and diversity of voices.
