Brodie Cashmere
Brodie Cashmere is a modern luxury cashmere brand, pioneering sustainable and ethical practices to deliver only the finest quality cashmere to the world. Born and inspired by centuries of Yorkshire textile expertise and heritage, this female founded, eco-conscious cashmere label has built a global fan base for its super-soft, bold, bright and supremely beautiful pieces. Empowered by the women in her family, Brodie founder, Anne-Marie, launched the brand in 2010 with a capsule range of 16 styles in eight colours, first presented at Pure in London. Success was instant, and with continued growth and development of the brand’s bright statement knitwear, Anne-Marie
was inspired to make a stamp within the global luxury cashmere industry by creating vibrant unique cashmere pieces. As a result, Brodie successfully made its mark. Sustainability at its core With conscious design at its heart, Brodie ensures a considered approach from grazing to garment, and chooses to champion sustainability by partnering with the Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA). As a member of the SFA, the company guarantees the ethical production of its cashmere, by certifying planet-positive practices, such as minimising overgrazing, the safeguarding of the herders and their families’livelihoods, and most importantly the safety and conscious care of their animals. Additionally, all of Brodie’s garments are ISO accredited with custom- made European dyes, which have long-lasting performance, and are kind to your skin. Recognising international trade success Brodie Cashmere sells products on a wholesale basis globally, and its internationally recognised customers include Harrods, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdales and Saks. The brand also sells in over 1,600 independent speciality stores worldwide, many of which are based in the USA. In 2020, its top five markets also included Belgium, Germany, Italy and France. Over the six years to the end of 2020, overseas sales have grown by a phenomenal 3,057 per cent and now make up 70 per cent of all sales, for which it has won a Queen’s Award for International Trade. The Queen’s Award is a fantastic recognition for all the Brodie team, in particular how they have
coped with the challenges of Covid. The award is also for everyone in the whole supply chain, from the herdsmen in Mongolia and the factories, to the sales teams around the world. “We are pleased to receive this award on behalf of our incredible Brodie team,” says Anne-Marie. “We also receive it on behalf of our amazing supply base, and most of all our valued clients who number some of the finest retailers worldwide.” BRODIE CASHMERE Lancaster House, 16 Moorfield Close, Yeadon, Leeds LS19 7YA Tel: +44 (0)113 250 8680
