Innovative packaging manufacturer Loadhog has been awarded a Queen’s Award for International Trade for the second time. The Sheffield-based company remains at the forefront of the packaging industry and is committed to creating sustainable solutions for supply chains across the globe. In the last three years, Loadhog has expanded across the globe, opening Loadhog Sarl in France and Loadhog Inc in Chicago. These subsidiaries have helped to better service its growing number of international customers and allowed it to expand into new and developing markets. Overseas sales have grown by 233% over the past three years and the proportion of sales exported has increased to 82% of total sales. Loadhog’s 2023 vision has already been ticked in many areas, driving the company to set new targets for 2030. The phenomenal growth Loadhog has achieved has opened many opportunities across multiple industries, pushing it towards becoming the market leader.

March 2021, export sales have risen by 222% now making up 49% of all sales. Its main markets are USA, China, Germany, Ireland and Australia. The company wins the Queen’s Award for International Trade for Outstanding Short-Term Growth in overseas sales over the last three years.

MNB Precision Limited has been awarded the Queen’s Award For International Trade after seeing its export sales increase from 6% to 75% in the last five years. Working from his garage, the company was started in 1980 by Bob Benton. The company is now in its third generation of the same family and occupies a 36,000 sq/ft manufacturing facility in Coventry. Investing £6m in new machinery, combined with a highly skilled workforce, the company can manage the most complex of parts, mainly for the oil and gas, nuclear and water sectors. This landmark award sits proudly alongside others, including The Lloyds Bank SME Business Of The Year and The Sunday Times Fast Track 100. MNB Precision Ltd

Always aiming to improve and progress, MNB employs a customer- driven approach with continuous investment in the latest technology to improve customer relationships both in the UK and abroad. Recently MNB has invested £2m in new large muti axis CNC machines, which remove the need for multiple machining set ups and helps reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

Managing Director Luke Benton said: “This award recognises the work that the whole team at MNB Precision Limited have done over the last number of years, especially during some tough times in the market. None more so than the Covid pandemic when our workforce showed our diversity from producing large complex components, sometimes up to eight tonnes, to smaller type work to support the ventilator challenge, manufacturing thousands of parts to support our customers build for current and new ventilator design.” As well as producing and assembling parts for customers globally, MNB Precision Limited made the bold decision to open a new manufacturing facility in the UAE. This was to support customers with complex machined components and help with their In Country Value Added initiatives.
