Its resins are vital raw materials in the global production of monoclonal antibody treatments for ailments such as cancer, rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes, and they have also been incorporated into the manufacturing process for treatments and vaccines for Covid-19. The company has over 6,000 businesses as customers in over 50 countries worldwide. Its Praesto® line of resins for the previously mentioned therapies are solely developed and manufactured in Wales, and Purolite was family owned and operated until 2021, when it was acquired for $3,7billion by Ecolab.
