The team are honoured to be supporting the Ministry of Defence internationally with contracts around the globe, and the company’s own UK manufacturing is now represented in over 32 countries worldwide. It is a sensational achievement for everyone, but none more so than Michael Barnes, CEO, who built the company Sychem is today. “I am incredibly proud of this achievement, the team and the ethos of our company,” he says. “We are very proud to fly the flag for innovation, design and UK manufacturing. Exporting to 32 countries is an amazing achievement for ourselves and the UK economy, and we have our own in-house training and apprentices who are brought through our engineering programme”.
“It is fantastic to see the staff’s development, including the Directors Colin, Dan and Luke, who have been exceptional in delivering the vision and performance. I would say Sychem is in safe hands as it grows.” Now in its 56th year, the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the country. When asked what winning means for Sychem, Michael said: “From the early days to this is a big thing. I don’t often sit back and reflect, and if I did, I would be proud of everyone involved. The achievement of the Queen’s Award will lead to building customers’ trust and an increase in sales and longevity. It will be interesting to see what the next ten years bring.” SYCHEM LTD Mayflower Close, Chandler’s Ford, Eastleigh SO53 4AR Tel: 0845 644 6824 • hello@sychem.co.uk www.sychem.co.uk @Sychemuk @Sychemltd @Sychem_uk
