Whitefurze Ltd

Whitefurze Ltd is delighted to have been honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise – International Trade for 2022 in recognition of its sustained export growth, achieved through a clear and long-term commitment to export, supported by considerable financial investment. Founded in 1978 by current owner and Managing Director Philip Lanni when he was just 17, the business has grown from its initial roots supplying the independent trade in the UK to its position today where the product range extends across a variety of categories, including the food storage and preparation, housewares, storage and gardening sectors, with a customer base worldwide. The Whitefurze export journey started in earnest in 2016 with the appointment of an office-based Export Sales Coordinator, together with investment in showcasing products via a series of major relevant industry exhibitions. Success followed and the team was further strengthened to include an international salesperson based in mainland Europe and another salesperson based in Ireland. Currently, Whitefurze supplies more than 22 countries, and turnover has increased by over 250% in the past four years. Philip attributes this success to the company-wide commitment to quality and service, stating: “Customers are initially impressed by the depth and breadth of the product range, our UK

heritage and our stockholding. However, once they start ordering from us they realise we also offer great service and then repeat orders follow.” Philip added: “Winning the Queen’s Award in 2022 is an achievement of which we are all very proud, especially considering the unique challenges that we have faced since Brexit and the start of the pandemic. “Our success is testament to the hard work of all our employees, suppliers and trade partners and we believe this award will cement our success to date

and provide a great platform for further continued export growth. With a firm strategy in place, substantial business already secured and events booked for the remainder of the year and into 2023 our export future looks bright.” WHITEFURZE LTD Burnsall Road, Canley, Coventry, West Midlands CV5 6BT Tel :+44 (0)24 76 717755 • info@whitefurze.net www.whitefurze.net
