THE STAFF OF KENTUCKY STATE PARKS

MEETING & CONFERENCE RENTALS Twenty-one state parks offer conference or meeting rooms that can host group conferences, meetings, weddings and special events from 10 people to 500 people. Please contact the park directly or call 502-564.2172 for availability and options at multiple parks. Each room has numerous electrical outlets and complimentary internet access, plus most rooms have built-in projection screens. Audio and visual equipment is available upon request. Customized Meeting Packages (CMP) including school educational packages and senior packages are available at most parks.

Our goal is to have all accommodations available by 4:00 p.m., but circumstances beyond our control may prevent this in rare instances. Check Out: 10:00 a.m. Amenities: Kitchen, living area & separate bedrooms. Basic cooking utensils and dishes are furnished. Daily maid service is not provided in cottages or cabins; towels and linens are changed daily upon request. Free parking available.

Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park 859-289-5507 This area in northeastern Kentucky is less than an hour from Lexington. It has been a popular meeting site for thousands of years from the era of the prehistoric mastodons and early Indians, to the time of Daniel Boone and early frontiersmen, to the end of the 19th-century, when the mineral springs was a popular health resort. This is the perfect facility for small training classes or retreats. Each of the three meeting rooms has its own unique setting: the Arlington Room boasts wide, sunny windows and is just adjacent to the restaurant; the Daniel Boone Room offers a stone fireplace and a private patio with a view of the woods; the Pavilion Room is adjacent to the Daniel Boone Room and outside disturbances are kept at a minimum.

Enjoy following a winding stream past one of Kentucky’s last historical covered bridges on your way to this beautiful fieldstone lodge located in northeastern Kentucky. The Jesse Stuart Lodge has three meeting rooms that can be combined to accommodate large groups for general session meetings or separated for smaller meetings. Cumberland Falls State Resort Park 606-528-4121 Located in southern Kentucky, the historic Dupont Lodge is perched high above the Cumberland River, which rushes over a boulder-strewn gorge to form the 125-foot-wide cascade known as Cumberland Falls, or the “Niagara of the South.” The distinctive lodge, with massive hemlock beams, stone fireplaces and knotty pine paneling, offers plenty of areas just off the lobby for networking, activities or relaxing. The Sawyer Hayes Community Center was built in 2009. Its natural stone and woodsy exterior is in harmony with the natural landscaping that flourishes throughout the park. General Butler State Resort Park is located along I-71 in Carroll County, about halfway between Louisville and Cincinnati. The warm and inviting lobby area with its hardwood floors, oversized stone fireplace and windows overlooking the vast forest invites groups to gather. Butler-Turpin State Historic House is country home built in 1859 is a place of remembrance for one of Kentucky’s foremost military families from colonial times, through the revolution, the War of 1812, the Mexican War and the great Civil War. Original family pieces include portraits, rare military documents, books, furniture and objects. Tour guides interpret lifestyles, military history and the contributions of the enslaved people who lived and worked at the farm. Visit the historic house, summer kitchen, family cemetery and archaeological sites of the log house and slave quarters.

Lake Cumberland State Resort Park 270-343-3111 The park, located on beautiful Lake Cumberland in south central Kentucky, is one hour from General Burnside State Park Golf Course. The activity center offers a large meeting room with windows overlooking the Cumberland Forest and two additional meeting rooms on the lower level to provide maximum convenience for break-outs. Pumpkin Creek Lodge is an excellent option for smaller gatherings or executive retreats. The visitor’s center mirrors the stately elegance and gracious ambiance of the Federal Hill mansion a short walk away. An expansive lobby filled with natural light is the prelude to the Ballroom, the main meeting space for the visitor’s center. This spacious room provides an airy, comfortable atmosphere. Along the banks of the Ohio River, just north of Henderson, KY, John James Audubon operated a small mercantile business and explored the wilderness in search of wild birds to study and sketch. Years later, a replica of a Norman-French inn and formal French gardens were designed to honor his French heritage and to house the largest collection of John James Audubon artwork and artifacts in the world. The inn, or museum, is comprised of four areas: the Bird Observatory; the Discovery Center with hands-on exhibits; the Learning Center, where the park naturalist and art educator conduct environmental and art programs; and the Friends of Audubon Meeting Room and Gallery for special events or meetings for up to 150 people.
