Cattlemen’s Kind BULL SALE MARCH 14, 2026 | CLARKSTON, WASHINGTON GELBVIEH, BALANCER & RED ANGUS BULLS

The Ledgerwood Family

Fellow cattleman and friends: We would like to start by thanking all our past and future customers. As your seedstock producer, we know the difficult task of selecting quality genetics that work for your operation. We know that everyone has different qualities that they value. We understand that your op- erations livelihood is ultimately determined by pounds on the truck and we feel a responsibility to do our part by helping you wean heavier calves, better carcass quality and trouble free mother cows. We work to identify and produce cattle that optimize performance and mini- mize production obstacles in your herd as well as ours. At the end of the day, the cattle business is about you, our friends and partners. This is a set of bulls that we are extremely excited about, they are the “Cattlemen’s Kind.” These bulls are designed with thickness, fleshing ability, length and will keep their condition while breeding cows. These bulls have been developed on free choice Bull Challenger and grass hay for moderate gain. It is our goal for these bulls to remain sound, problem free and to become long term genetic contributors to herds that they go into. These bulls are never pushed hard. The quickest way to ruin a bull is to push them too hard, our bulls have been man- aged to be fit not fat. We believe that it all starts with the mother cow. We strive to produce females that have longevity and are sound, fertile, easy fleshing with good dispositions and udders. We welcome anyone to come visit and see the dams of the bulls. We know that if you are keeping replace-

ment females it is vital to see the mothers of these bulls. These bulls are backed by gener- ations of highly productive females that have stood the test of time. As always we offer free delivery within 350 miles and will work with you to find the most cost effective shipping beyond that. We will start delivering bulls April 1, if you need your bull before that simply let us know and we’ll make it happen. We also offer a first breeding season guarantee on all our sale bulls, no ques- tions asked. You bought a bull to breed cows and if for any reason he does not or cannot do that job we will work with you on a sale credit. We offer a volume discount on the bulls, pur- chase 5 or more bulls and receive a 5% dis- count.

It has been a pleasure hearing all the positive feedback on our bulls. We look forward to seeing you all March 14 at the new sale barn. Please feel free to call with any questions you may have. With no further ado we present our 2026 bull offering and express our gratitude for your consideration of our program. - Pete & Samee

CATTLEMEN’S KIND BULL SALE 03.14.26

SIMPLY

THE BEST . It was tough this year to choose “LOT 1” from this group of bulls. The culmination

of breeding over generations to find the best genetic combinations that do not sacrifice muscle and growth and keeping them black, we landed on this Pacesetter son to lead off with. He possesses a distinctive look of quality and functionality that gives him the edge over the

rest. From the ground up his foot shape and bone structure have made me drool over him since that day he was born. A true herd bull prospect that can improve a set of EPD’s and add extreme eye appeal. He is the best on paper at WW and YW and ranks in the Top 3% for REA. He is moderate, proportional, and still has the width and build we all like to stand behind. His granddam, 410B raised 9 calves with a weaning ration of 109 and left us 4 daughters in production including Kaia and a full sister. Kaia is a Mayweather daughter whose first calf was a standout who sold to Carter Mountain Livestock last year. We think his the pedigree, genotype and phenotype set Niko apart and give him the potential to be that breeding piece that could build herd bulls, show heifers and productive mother cows. I am excited to see how you appraise him on sale day.

The Pacesetter sons have been consistent sale toppers, and we debated to kick our 2026 sale off with this lot. On paper he has one of the most balanced set of numbers and could make a big impact as a herd sire to push growth traits to a new level. On everyone’s favorite list, he is engineered with the perfect combination of a stout bull look with all the right angles and extension up front. A full sister sold in Function and Finesse to Johnson Bitterroot. Check out his video and he will be one of your favorites too.

Here is a bull to buy when you want to maximize growth and have the versatility to improve your replacement heifers. He has all the right angles at his shoulder and lower hip and hock. Step to the side of him and his natural depth from flank to flank is the insurance that he will succeed in a variety of feed conditions. Pacesetter really clicked with the Mayweather daughters, several 3/4 brothers in this sire group.

Benchmark setting number for REA coupled with loads of growth at weaning and yearling. Bold chested and gets busted open wide through his rib and deep through his flank, he has the look that matches his genomics. His dam is nothing short of impressive at 13 years old she is still sound, easy fleshing, calving on time, and raising rips like Night Hawk. She is also the dam of Bonanza who made some impact in a couple herds in Canada. Add him to your video watchlist

when you are searching for a bull with a big return on your investment.

Muscle expression is the first thing to notice on this bull especially from the side or in behind him. It’s no surprise that he ranks in the Top 15% for REA. He is a son of Phoenix, a cow that continues to do great things across a variety of matings. She has 5 lots in the sale, and Lot 12 is the more moderate lot good to go on a set of British influenced cows. Baller cattle are known for being expressive in their muscle pattern, so his power is no fluke!

Leads the way for carcass EPD’s and is moderate, with a monster rib and top. Another son out of Phoenix, that is softer made in the middle and could build a set of calves that meet the demands of the industry when they hit the rail. LEDGERWOOD NIGHT WATCH 590N

You can find this 5 star bull rather quickly in a pen, especially from the rear view. It’s the kind of unique rear view that rappers write songs about. Whether you are new or have been at this cattle thing for awhile, you know that great carcass numbers don’t always correlate to much visual width and dimension out past the 13th rib. We like that he is smooth fronted and genuine in his rib shape too. This Tradition son is the real deal when it comes to preventing buyer’s remorse. Don’t miss out sale day, put him on your short list.

23 Genomically the black Tradition sons have the advantage of being Homozygous Dominant, so if you are worried about color they are good place to start. Of this sire group, here’s the bull that is the class winner for marbling - Top 15%. Phenotypically he is level down his top and has lots of pop to his muscle pattern up high. His maternal sister is easy flushing, with a beautiful full udder with great teat shape, just like their mother. He comes from two very moderate framed parents, if you want to add muscle but keep that moderate mature size, he is the ticket.

Picking a bull to lead off this Mayweather sired offering seemed only fitting to be the son of the Gator cow who is coming 12 and looks like she is 4. The mating of these to high volume, moderate parents is nothing short of predictable. He has plenty of muscle and bone adding to his bull character, but where he

29

is different is the places that make a fancier set of replacement heifers: upheaded, a center mass that is open and high volume, and hip that is level and wide pinned. His bull calves will tap in from there and tack on more muscle shape. I can not believe this is the first mating, but rest assured Gator is due to May again in 2026!

From the front view this guy is more pulled apart at the base of his chest floor and has little extra something at the top of his hip and down to the center of his quarter. These qualities give him a softer, deeper look that corresponds to higher intramuscular fat deposits. We think two reds are better than one in this case, so add them both to your list. Calving ease model in the Top 15% for BW and CED plus single digit performance rankings in his maternal predictors. Moderate and square made, he comes at you as wide as he leaves. There are only 2 Easy Rider sons this year in what have been traditional crowd favorites, if you like one, you will probably want two. There is a lot of cow power behind this bull!

It was a thoughtful decision to hold back the sire of this lot and use him as a heifer clean-up bull, but his name stands up to his ability to make calving out heifers an “EASY TIME.” He has stamped them genomically at the same indicators of CE and BW. Out of a first calf heifer, this son was a bit shy of the pen curve

on picture day, but starts with a structural foundation to impress. Bone and muscle density that is really good and over the days before the sale, he will be on the gain to a more mature look. He could be a sleeper, and sneak up on the rest of the group by the time the gavel drops.

Like his paternal sib Lot 40, he is out of a first calf heifer, but this Easy Time son has the edge at the calving ease and birthweight predictors. The lineage behind these two lots is tried and true across various environmental situations and this guy is also a pen stand out for shape, volume, and skeletal heaviness that is in a more youthful package. Mendel would love these brothers, and use them to test hybrid vigor. If you are more science minded and want to put genomics to the test, budget for both. 41

High performing bull, that from all views is rugged and easy doing. Dark hairs around his muzzle and tail paint a unique picture on a backdrop of heavy muscle and bone. By the numbers, he could improve your cow base maternally, but watch his video and you will see how he could improve your next truckload of calves. Revival sons are making a mark as they get in production, you will see his name show up in pedigrees for years to come.

Revival son is easy to find and is a good sale day choice for the rancher who has needs multiple bulls. He has muscle expression that starts at his forearm and stifle and as your eyes move up, he doesn’t disappoint with volume of rib and more shape along his topline. If you like want to keep daughters that do their job year in and year out this bull has the genetics.
