Determined to prove away the re ligious philosophy which Lynn holds in order to remove the only factor preventing her from-marrying him, Mark enlists the aid of two of his fellow-scientists. The proposition Mark made was this: “ I f after a very thorough and scientific study of all the evidence, we find that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He did rise from the dead, I will have no choice but to accept Him. If, however, we find that He was just an ordinary person, al though a great teacher, and that all this is just a myth, will you change your philosophy in accordance with these findings?”

Scene from "Beloved Enemy" Knowing what the outcome of their research would prove, and that God’s Word would not return void, Lynn unhesitatingly accepts Mark’s proposition. In the film, we follow Mark and his two scientist-friends in their search as they talk with learned scholars and as they meet together to discuss their findings. We see them gradually become more uncer tain of their previous convictions as they delve into the account o f the person and work of Jesus Christ. And after much study and struggle, Mark reaches some very definite con clusions. “ Beloved Enemy” is a challenging and fascinating story. It is a fine production with a pertinent message for young people and adults. The film is available through Films for Christ Association, 1204 North Elm wood, Peoria, Illinois, on a 50-50 basis of the gross offering with a $50 minimum. - Virginia Schwepker
