CONTENTS

Dear Friends, As we enter the fall season, be sure to check out the many great programs and events the City of Irvine has planned! Don’t miss the Healthy Living Expo Friday, September 20 from 9 a.m. to noon at Lakeview Senior Center. This free event features community resources, fitness demonstrations, health screenings, and more. Mark your calendars for the annual Irvine Global Village Festival Saturday, October 5. Enjoy an afternoon of entertainment, cultural displays, international cuisine, a global marketplace, and more (see Page 20). Help honor the brave men and women who served our country through the Veterans Day Recognition program (see Page 26). If you know a veteran age 50 or older who is an Irvine resident, we would like to thank them for their service by placing an American flag in their yard or at their door in honor of Veterans Day. Trabuco Center will host the Twilight Holiday Social Friday, December 6 (see Page 4). Celebrate the holidays with family and friends while enjoying hors d'oeuvres, entertainment, and dancing at this annual event. I hope you have a happy and healthy holiday season while enjoying the exciting events and programs high- lighted throughout this issue of Irvine Connection for Older Adults . For more information, visit one of our three senior centers or go to irvineseniors.org .
