S.H.I.N.E. Counselor
The Special and Community Support Division provides information regarding available state and county social service programs. An emergency food pantry and medical equipment loan-out is available for Sunrise residents who may need temporary assistance due to loss of employment or other issues. The division also administers include transportation and special programs. For further information, contact the City’s Social Worker at (954) 746-3670.

Visits to the Pantry are limited to no more than once every three months until the crisis has passed or an alternate agency can fulfill the need. Women 35-39 can receive one baseline mammogram within this time frame, covered 100% by insurance, no insurance, no doctors order required. Must bring your insurance card & photo ID. Prescription Discount Card Program Sunrise residents who are without health insurance, a traditional pharmacy benefit plan, or have prescriptions not covered by insurance can take advantage of this plan. The savings is approximately 20%, with no income or age requirements. Please call the Sunrise Senior Center at (954) 746-3670 or come by the Senior Center for information. Residents can renew their driver’s license, vehicle registration and get a Florida ID Please visit the website to know what documents you will need to bring with you to avoid a second trip. https://www.flhsmv.gov/ driver-licenses.
