American Legion Post 365 Meets 4th Tuesday of month, at 7:00 pm Location: Sunrise Senior Center, 10650 West Oakland Park Blvd. The American Legion is the nation’s largest veteran’s service organization, committed to mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting a strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans. Gold Coast Wood Turners Meets 3rd Thursday of month from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Free; Walk-ins welcome Location: Sunrise Senior Center, 10650 West Oakland Park Blvd. This non-profit organization is dedicated to promoting the art and craft of wood turning through education. Join us at meetings, where we conduct club business, present technical demonstrations, share work, discuss technique and provide constructive feedback. FREE TRANSPORTATION Minibus Routes operate weekdays from 8:00 am to 2:45 pm, picking up passengers from residential areas and transporting them to major shopping centers within Sunrise. For more information, or to obtain schedules, call (954) 764-3677. Non-Emergency Medical Transportation is available to eligible Sunrise residents who are 62 or older, or physically handicapped. If you no longer drive or maintain a vehicle in your immediate household and need reliable transportation to doctors, dentists and other medical appointments call (954) 746- 3676 for transportation information. Application and approval is required.
