Troubleshooting
No power - If connections are plugged in correctly, the scanner will likely have a faulty power supply, if within warranty return to Raeco ® for an immediate replacement. If outside of warranty a charge of approx. $75 excluding GST will apply and the scanner may or may not be repairable.
Scanning intermittently - Provided the problem is not simply poor quality barcodes, this usually indicates an issue with the cable, if within warranty return to Raeco ® for an immediate replacement, if outside of warranty you may be able to purchase a replacement cable.
Does not scan barcode - try to scan something from the supermarket like a box of tissues, if this doesn’t work return to Raeco ® for an immediate replacement. If this does work the problem lies with the library barcode, fax us a copy of your barcode on superfine setting to 1300 727 241 and we’ll send you a barcode to scan in order to resolve the problem, most commonly occurs with Codabar barcodes.
