Hockey has never been more popular in the state of Florida than right now. When the Tampa Bay Lightning were first founded in 1992, many wondered how a professional team would fare in the Sunshine State. The following year, the Florida Panthers played in their inaugural season, and hockey has only grown more popular since. Now, we have two successful NHL franchises and many other mid-level professional teams in the state. There’s no hockey team more exciting to watch in Orlando than the Orlando Solar Bears, and we have some big news you’ll be delighted to hear! The DeWitt Law Firm (JustCallMoe.com) is now the official attorney of the Orlando Solar Bears. This is the first time that our firm has ever been a sponsor for a professional sports organization, and we couldn’t be more excited about this new partnership! We’ve greatly enjoyed watching the Solar Bears since they returned to Orlando in 2012. We know the best years are ahead of the team and can’t wait to watch as they make a push to win the Kelly Cup this season.
You might see Moe interact with the coaches, players, and even Shades, the Solar Bears mascot, when you go to games. We’ll host some promotions during their games and have plenty of Solar Bears/ Moe DeWitt merchandise giveaways throughout the season. We’ll even operate a booth within the arena, so if you see us there, make sure you stop and say hello! This is a recent development, so be sure to keep an eye on our social media for more information and future updates. We’re thrilled to take our support for the Orlando Solar Bears to the next level. We hope to see you at Amway Center on Oct. 19 for the Solar Bears’ home opener against the Florida Everblades!

INGREDIENTS
Crust • 3 cups all-purpose flour • 1 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed • 3/4 cup powdered sugar • 1 tsp salt
Filling • 4 eggs • 1 cup corn syrup • 2/3 cup packed light brown sugar • 1/2 cup honey • 1/4 cup all- purpose flour

1/4 cup melted butter
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon • 1/2 tsp salt • • 3 cups chopped pecans
1/2 tsp ground ginger
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Use baking spray to grease a 13x9-inch pan before lining with parchment paper. 2. In a food processor, blend crust ingredients until a crumble forms. Press mixture into pan. Bake until light golden brown, about 20 minutes (crust will have cracks). 3. In a bowl, whisk all filling ingredients (except pecans) together until smooth. Stir in pecans and pour over crust. Bake until set, around 30 minutes, then let cool completely in pan.
