Why did you volunteer to be a Wellbeing Officer?

What are your book or podcast recommendations on the topic of mental health? Atomic Habits by James Clear – a great practical guide on how to build (and stick to) good habits, and break the bad ones. It’s all about building habits that allow you to constantly improve, reach your goals, and personally it helped me to map out an action plan for ways that I can make time for myself and the things I love.

I wanted to be a Wellbeing Officer so that I could gain formal training about how to support the people around me. I wanted to arm myself with tools and techniques to not only identify when people are struggling, but also help them feel heard and get the support they may need. What do you do to look after your wellbeing? Exercise, surround myself with supportive friends and family, and eat yummy food.
