Why did you volunteer to be a Wellbeing Officer? I thought it was a great initiative and wanted to be apart of making work more fun, enjoyable and supportive for my colleagues. I believe in having a well-balanced life which starts with having heathy boundaries set between your work and personal life! Why should we look after our physical and mental wellbeing? We need to take care of ourselves in order to achieve the goals we set for ourselves at work! Even more importantly, we need to take care of our bodies and our minds so that we are able to enjoy seeing the world and spending time with our loved ones. Our own wellbeing should always be our number 1 priority!
What are some of the ways we can challenge stigma around mental health? Just talk about it – start the conversation. The best thing we can do is talk about it for what it is – the way we feel and the way that impacts us. There should be no stigma to admitting how we feel about something, or how our mental health in general is going.
