Pebbles Pet Memorial
Pebbles was my sweet and loving rescue whom I fell in love with the first day she arrived with a group of kittens that I volunteered to foster.When it was time for everyone to go out for adoptions I just couldn’t let go of her. I learned from the rescue group who brought her from a shelter, that she had been very ill and nursed back to health to get ready for adoption. I was also told she was FIV positive. Since she was so gentle, I didn’t see any risk for another cat to live with her. So I kept my plans to add a new kitten a couple months later and Pebbles became like a “mom” to Marula - my new kitten. After only two years, Pebbles’ health declined suddenly and we learned her FIV was out of control.With no hope for recovery, she was put to sleep at home with Marula by her side. They were inseparable and I was sad not only for the loss of Pebbles, but for Marula’s loss of her best companion. Pebbles is always in our hearts.
