When we find ourselves feeling outside, left alone, forgotten, dealing with the repercussions of life’s many decisions, what do we do? As artists who use our bodies as our instruments, we feel the particular sting of the realities of time. As women, even more so. Where do we go, what do we do, and who do we reach out to? Will they reach back? We are left wondering “what if?” The pandemic was the great amplifier of all we know. It brought forward our worst fears, qualities and tendencies as well as our best. It was a great test. The relationships most delicate sometimes strengthened, sometimes shattered. This piece is just in part about that, but most of all it is about hope. Thank you Amelia Hufsmith for your presence and creative energy during the creation of this work.
