The nonprofit Nevada SPCA is the first animal rescue organization in the United States leveraging the Pawbo+ interactive pet camera technology to monitor cats for signs of feline stress or illness – which can then guide rescue staff to take steps to safeguard animal health and welfare and adoptability. The announcement was made at SuperZoo the National Show for Pet Retailers. Nevada SPCA operates a no-kill animal sanctuary, promotes humane education, makes referrals for lower- cost spay/neuter and vaccination services, and challenges people to be the best possible guardians for the companion animals in their care. On any given day, Nevada SPCA’s headquarters is home to more than 1,000 rescued animals.
