each occupant of this planet will make for a most beautiful planet to be shared by all. Love and kindness is the "Mission." Love costs nothing to give and is an extraordinary gift to receive and share. I pray for a world where someday we can feel for the betterment of each life on this planet and fulfill our desires and needs in peace. As when we give love the gift comes back many fold. Our hope, is that humans as the caretakers of this planet, will be more responsible in the care of our planet, it’s resources, it's animals and it’s people. We should not add to the suffering of others, but seek to eliminate the negative and bring light to All. True love and happiness is experiencing the love and joy we exchange with all that share our planet.
That is why ardent advocates like Linda Blair and the “Linda Blair World Heart Foundation,” have dedicated their lives to Stop BSL (Breed Specific Legislation) which just slaps on a label and categorizes every animal of a same look or species to be treated the same and in most cases to be destroyed because they fall into a "breed specific look" or category. This is “Stone Age Thinking” (backwards thinking), that helps no one, especially the innocent dogs that are destroyed each year for no good reason except that they “look” like and may not even be that specific breed. Linda’s work at her Acton, California Rescue, has gone on for many years. And Linda, who could be basking in her celebrity status and the limelight, continues tirelessly with a "hands on" approach to rescue. She houses, cares for and adopts all dogs but especially her beloved Pitbulls. At Lick Magazine, we agree and support and will always support Linda Blair in her philosophy and tireless efforts to save these wonderful dogs. Linda truly lives her beliefs, and her philosophy of love and kindness, in the hopes that someday we as people will be more responsible in our care and treatment of animals — not adding to the suffering that exists in their world and ours.
