Shannon Barnard grew up a cat lover with her childhood cat, Henry. About 30 years ago, her husband suggested they “look at” a friend’s litter of English Cocker Spaniels. Of course, they came home with a puppy and that’s all it took to turn Shannon into a dog mom for life. Shannon’s entry into the pet industry came about a dozen years ago when she was looking for a creative outlet and came upon a pattern for dog and cat collars. She designed a website around those creations and “K9 Bytes – Gifts for Pets and Pet Lovers” was born.
This was a perfect fit with Shannon’s affection for pets and her desire to create. What started as a hobby grew into a business where she gets to make products she loves. It brings her great delight to help pet parents celebrate the joy of their pets with handcrafted dog and cat collars, leashes, treats, and toys. Each item K9 Bytes creates is infused with love. From sharing with friends, to offering the product line to boutiques and stores, K9 Bytes has become a fun venture where Shannon is able to develop relationships with repeat customers and boutique owners.
