Meet the Team
What do you enjoy most about working here? One of the things I enjoy most about working here is being involved in the large events and celebrations throughout the facility. The Lifestyle team often challenges me with new ideas and themes, which gives me the opportunity to be creative, experiment with different desserts, and push myself outside my comfort zone. I especially love making personalised birthday cakes and decorations for our residents and their families. I always try to make each cake special by learning about the resident beforehand — their favourite colours, foods, interests, or themes they enjoy — so the cake feels personal and meaningful to them. Seeing the smiles on the residents’ faces when they see their birthday cake or when we cater for a special occasion brings me so much joy and satisfaction. I also really enjoy creating different desserts and trying new ideas that can make celebrations feel memorable for everyone involved. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? In my spare time, I enjoy taking our boat out to Tangalooma. I find it very relaxing being out on the water, especially sitting on the boat with a good book and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. It’s a great way for me to unwind and recharge. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be? If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would love to visit Vietnam. I have always been very interested in the history and culture of Vietnam and would love the opportunity to experience it firsthand, learn more about the country, and explore everything it has to offer.
